Divers in the 1300's made goggles from polished, clear tortoise shell. The first rubber goggles, which had heavy glass lenses, were invented in the 1930's.

Do you know who the first woman to break the one-minute barrier in the 100y freestyle was?

Why that would be Helene Madison of Seattle in 1932!

Good morning! I see Phil in Jeanette where very busy already!  Sorry I didn't post much last night I got a really bad pedicure, well the polish part was bad, I have to fix it.

Also finally got the call I have my job back at the hospital, They cut my pay!!!  OK there excuse is that I have not worked as a nurse for 4 years; so it is a significant cut! I haven't accepted it yet, let them sweat a bit!   They should have reinterviewed me, because I have been raising my son who was born with a stroke, very much being a nurse!!!

Sorry for the rant.

Rant on.  Obviously they don't realize someone who wants to be in the field AND wants to make a difference.  Effing administrators anyways.

At the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas, Venezuela, in the U.S. men's 400m medley relay consisted of all four 100m stroke world record holders; the only time this has happened in swimming history.

Can you name the member's of the team?
