Evening all.  Got a ride in on the rollers today and some band work too.  Yeah!!  I really need to make sure that I continue to work on getting in the band/weight workouts.

Roni thanks for the PM I didn't realize that I had left you off of my friends list.  I corrected that straight away so now you can see my logs.  Sorry about that.

I still have to say cycling is my favorite, but this season I have REALLY been enjoying my running. I think its a combination of changed mindset and smarter training, which has been leading to better fitness gains... still trying to get to that point with swimming though!

My fav is swimming.  Grew up swimming in pools and lakes.  LOVE it.  Have recently started to like running.  Don't really like biking, totally foreign to me.

well I got my run in tonight... the same 8 miles from saturday. i added in a few pickups on the way back to liven things up a bit. a little slower today, maybe some accumulated fatigue from the weekend?

Has anybody totally cut out certain foods from their diets since starting tri's?

Did I ask this question already?  Sorry if I did.

i was planning on doing a group ride tomorrow but i think im going to skip it and do my own ride later in the day. i would have to get up pretty early (on my day off no less!) and then drive about an hour to ride when its still cold (one of my least favorite things). sometimes i feel like such a training loner but i think its the right move tomorrow

I'm cutting out dairy.  Have been ready a whole lot of bad things about dairy.  Have a family history of BC and really don't want to risk dairy when I can get the calcium from other sorces.

not since starting tri's, but its been about two years since I ate red meat or had a soda... sometimes I really get a craving but mostly it wasn't as big of a deal as I thought it would be (i REALLY liked both)

OOoooh I cut out anything bubbly too.  For me though that was because I can't burp, so would get really painful at times.

Not a big fan of red meat anyway so don't really eat that much either.

Sorry, he is not a nutrition guy.  More like action, adventure.  My post was a little misleading now that I re-read it.

On the nutrition front I've recently read, The China study, The Paleo Diet and am currently reading Eat, Drink and Be Healthy.  I've read a couple others but can't remember the titles at the moment.
