Morning, TAN. Showed up to work "late" today... and I think I'll leave early. Probably worth it.

So I met the little lady's dad and dad's best friend last night, impromptu. I got the pleasantries from the dad, and the "Don't you dare hurt her... she's not my daughter, but she might as well be" from the friend. All in all, though, it went well. I think that, so far, at least, I got a passing grade.

I'd say anything short of getting shot on sight is a success.

I get to do that later this month. But he's Canadian so my guess is he'll be all ``TONY! Want some back bacon and pancakes!?''

More like REAL beer and poutine. Though, you're coming from the greatest of Britains, so you have real beer over there, too.

still awesome to me that tony and monica moved to london. i missed so much around here.

morning, tan. i'm tired.

Hallo shkinny Shar. It's okay, I'm around all the time and I still miss stuff. I'm kind of daft, though.

that's a great word >>> daft.

{{{yanti}}}

feeling any better today? sucks how sick you've been

Yes. For the better part of 18 months now, I've been seriously ill. Ridinkulink.

Fever's down some but I actually feel worse today and haven't been able to keep anything down.

If it's the same or worse tomorrow, going to the clinic/hospital. If it gets much worse tonight, in fact, I'll go, since I haven't been able to keep any medication down either.

i can't believe it. well, sending you TONS of healing vibes. maybe my powers don't work so well anymore

how's the medical care where you are? just curious.

Multi-drug resistant typhoid is apparently also multi-healing-vibe resistant. But keep it coming, and thank you. We will win.

The medical care ranges from worse-than-not-being-treated to comparable to average developed-country care. The actual care and advice I'm getting is that, about average for a developed country.

The two unfortunates here are that, with so many serious illnesses in a short time and the current one being a very virulent typhoid, you'd want to be on the better end of developed-country care. The other is that the MEDICATIONS available here are rudimentary, to say the least.

u should move to florida, me thinks. Cool

Come to think of it, many of my favorite people are in Florida.

It's also ideal in many ways. It's like California, except it has decent Southern food, and reasonable access to the rockin' Eastern seaboard.

I gotta wait for my dad to kick the bucket and my mom to go completely nuts, though.

Monica is from Vancouver. That's the fish, marijuana and coffee side of Canada.

PS: we're going to invade to get your oil anyway. You'll soon be innundated with Wal-Mart and McDomalds. Canadian Tire and Harvey's are doomed.

No!!!! Not Harvey's! It's by far the best of all of the fast food burger joints (I haven't tried in and out... so I can't compare).

And it's the RAW fish side of Canada. The Maritimes are where the real, good fish/seafood comes from... MMmmmmmmm, PEI Lobster...

I'll give you Gaspe salmon and bay of fundy oysters are the world,s best. I also LOVE periwinkles and have only seen them in high end restaurants in the maritime provinces.

Some broth and a few rice noodles down the gullet. Wish me luck with the pills. Because if those don't stay down, it's off to the hospital I go for this ho ho ho.

Surprisingly I feel pretty good, the soreness is gone, but I still have tired legs. Looking forward to getting in a post marathon run in soon, but I am in no hurry. Going to take it easy for Dec I think. I had a HIM and a marathon pretty close together, so a few weeks downtime will be good.

That's exactly how I felt after my HIM, too. I wasn't sore, but my body just felt tired and didn't want to do much of anything that required, you know, engaging muscles.

Rest up, you (and your legs) deserve it!

Last night I had a dream that I was driving around in my car with three (3) ladies from BT.com. One was in the front seat with me and the other two were int he back. the one in the front seat kept playing with my name badge that attaches to my belt while I was trying to drive and then...

the alarm went off.  Stupid alarm!
