Everybody must be sleeping in, since it is -15 wind chill this morning.  Ready to change to Florida.  Sick of Iowa cold really bad this year.

Speaking of trips to Florida, I am thinking of going to Daytona during Speed Week.  I don't want to go to the race.  I just want to see craziness, from the 16th floor.  The trip is free except for gas.  I am retired so I basically have the time.  I can drive down say on Monday (Feb 18), take my groceries with me, stay at our condo, then drive back before the race on Sunday (Feb 24) to avoid the traffic.  JWKMH does not understand and thinks this is a waste of time.  I have never hung around this kind of crowd.  I just think it might be fun to go to some bars, check out the peripheral events surrounding the race, see what the vibe is like.  I will also escape the winter weather a bit and do some outdoor riding.

Interesting, side note, Jimmie Johnson once stayed in one of our condos during the race.  He and Jeff Gordon were seen playing pool in the rec room. It created quite a stir amongst the blue-haired retirees from New York. You never know who might rent one of our units.

So here is the poll question.  Do you think the people watching would be worth the drive?  Would you do it given the time and the price of gas?

My poll got buried under the women in combat. Let's go to Florida.  Who's with me?  Maybe we can have women in the expeditionary force.

I'm In!!

That cinches it.  There will be combat!

Love and hate on one page.  Hiya TAN.

"It's a thin line, between love and hate". What a GREAT song lyric. I have a penchant for love gone bad / revenge songs.

The opposite of love is NOT hate.......it is hurt?  Agree??

The opposite of love is neglect or lack of respect IMHO.

Hurt is caused by action of one person against another.  In my humble opinion Indifference would be the opposite of Love.

Love is caring. So the opposite of love is not caring.  There may also be some vengeful hurting when a relationship ends.  But the events around actively breaking up are different.  Yes?

Hurt=actively trying to inflict discomfort on someone esle
Hate=Mentally disliking someone so much that you elicit a negative feeling within yourself.
Neglect=Ambivalence about your behavior impacting someone else.

So I go with hate being the opposite of love. Others are actions of the emotion hate.

Did dinner at The Cheesecake Factory this evening.... I feel very rotund and as if I am about to burst.

I may have overdone it a wee little bit.

What? No description of dinner? Or dinner partner?

It was just family. Birthday dinner for my little sister (22nd) and oldest brother (25th).

Dinner was sooo gooood.

Vietnamese tacos for the appetizer (steamed asian buns with roasted pork and veggies)

Dinner was the 'Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp' - a thai coconut curry thing with lots of shrimp, chicken, rice and curry saucde.

Dessert was their 30th Anniversary Cheesecake, which is two layers of cheesecake and two layers of their fudge cake filled with a chocolate truffle cream and covered with shaved chocolate bits.

Morning TAN!

I once read where someone said that the opposite of love is indifference.

I think that kind of fits, but, a lot of things do.

Love and hate on one page.  Hiya TAN.

"It's a thin line, between love and hate". What a GREAT song lyric. I have a penchant for love gone bad / revenge songs.

The opposite of love is NOT hate.......it is hurt?  Agree??

Love is caring. So the opposite of love is not caring.  There may also be some vengeful hurting when a relationship ends.  But the events around actively breaking up are different.  Yes?

The opposite of Love is Evol. Case closed. Move on.

Surprised that I opened Yahoo and there were three "good-news" type stories in the top scroll. Good start to the day

Why am I posting this is TAN? Because the people in CoJ do not deserve anything after annoying Meh. It is our job to annoy our own, so you mess with one TANite, you mess with all.

Good Morning Samy!  How is life down south?

Cannot complain (nobody listens). Enjoying the cold front - it has been in the 60s in the morning around these parts...BRRRRR. Time to get the parka out of the closet Cool
