ebshot - 2008-10-13 11:47 AM I need to update my Netflix queue.  Any good movie recommendations?  The kiddo's and I watched Ironman today.  Not bad.  Didn't know about the sex scene in the beginning. Awkward!!  Yikes!

So Im curious... what do kids do when a sex scene comes on? How do you handle it???

lol...

I wouldnt know what to do...

I remember babysitting a family friends child and he had homework that was picking the main stories out of the newspaper and reporting on them...

He has to go pick the one about a gentleman with AIDS who is passing the disease on.. not only did I have to try and handle it, I THEN got the joy of letting his mother know when she got home...

I don't have much time to post today but I have got my run in. It's my 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday and hubby and i are going to stay at a swish hotel for the night tonight(Friday-already!) while Grandma minds our son. So I now have much beautifying to do.

Have a good weekend all.

Congratulations! I hope you had a good time

Yesterday I had one of the BEST runs! I ran 10k around the river in the city. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I felt GREAT! I ran all the way and felt on top of the world.

Now I am totally shattered so it obviously took it out of me, but the run itself was divine. I wish I always felt like that

How is the weather this time of year in Australia?

The weather lately has been mostly great. We're coming into spring now so the days are warm and in the mid 20's (thats C not F!!!). There have been a few spring showers but not too many. I love this time of the year before it gets too hot! The mornings have been getting very light as well which is delightful, but it'll go back to dark soon with daylight savings kicking in at the end of October

OK, as promised (though by now maybe the promise was forgotten??) I posted pics of the sassy new tri top... in my blog... not here, of course.  Sorry, Blake, I didn't get around to "rolling it up" so you'll just have to go to the abs album and pretend .

Edited cause I am tired and my original post didn't make much sense.

I like the top - so cool!

ebshot - 2008-10-12 9:23 PM Waiting for my coffee to be ready.  Big headache this morning.  Think it's because I didn't have any coffee yesterday, the only caffiene I had was from my GU.  Not good.  Hi, my name is Erica, and I'm a coffee addict.  *Hi Erica*  Maybe one day I'll kick the habit.  Gonna pop some Excedrin too cause it's the headache medicine!

X2 on the coffee addiction!!! I can't live without caffiene.

I have a question for our resident vet .  I would ask my own vet but I won't see her for a scheduled appointment (knock on wood) for quite some time!!!

I have a ragdoll kitten... he's about 9 months old now... big boy who rules the roost, bosses both of my labs around and whatnot... got him because I heard he would be good to my allergies, and he is.  First animal I've ever had that I actually paid (a lot) of money for!!!!  He is sweet as could be in the morning and when he wants something and generally sweet to me... but he has an aggressive streak in him and is particularly fond of attacking my daughter's feet.  He bites the kids and sometimes visitors... but not terriobly hard.  I think he just wants to play... so we've upped the amount of play time for him.  I also use a spray bottle to keep him off of counters/tables, etc. but am not sure if this isthe best way to deal with this behavior.  His most redeeming quality is that he's gorgeous and has more personality than any cat I've ever known.  Aside from that, he's a bit of a monster .

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated!

That totally counts!!!!!  Several of my tiaras are plastic.  That way, if I get drunk and lose them at a bar, it's not too big a deal.

Oh goodie... well mine is from a birthday in Uni... it became and magic 'get laid on your birthday' tiara that all the girls I lived with wore on their special day...

Apparently it worked... *shrug*

Cat behaviour is a really tricky subject ... some kittens that are taken away from their litter too early can have the issues he has ... they didn't have long enough to be socilaised properly and learn bite inhibition from his litter mates. Alternatively he may just be a boisterous kitten. I would monitor him carefully and try to see at what point he starts attacking - it may be a case that he becomes over-stimulated after (eg) 5 mins, so in that case just play with him for 4 mins at a time. Also never use your hands to play with him, get him a dangly cat toy so your body parts are out of the line of fire. Any time he gets over stimulated just stop the game and walk away. If he is still naughty despite this, give him "time out" in another room. The spray bottle is a good idea - gets the message across without being cruel. You can also consider getting another kitten that will help to re-direct his attention - but sometimes this may be a rod for your own back as a second kitten can also create more problems. Good luck!!!
