Kristin - how are you feeling? ready for tomorrow?

I'm feeling a little physically run down, but mentally in a good place. I wrote my blog about it today, it's actually a little strange to be so calm the day before a race and I'm not sure why. I'm just finishing my pre-race dinner - and you'll love this, I mixed up a Gatorade Endurance with some tonic since I can't drink!!!! I've been packing up my bag for pre and post race, have to figure out the clothes I want to wear to throw away. Then I think I'll soak in the tub and watch a movie and hope I can sleep later. I'm a little worried about my body letting me down, but excited about the race.

Belated good luck! I hope you went well!

I can't keep up with this thread! It doesn't help that I have been super busy at work so have had no time to go on here. Oh well. I'll try to get through it later at some point, or just give up LOL!

The weather here has been terrible the past few days. Lots of wind and rain and very cold, just like winter! And we're meant to be coming into summer! I'm going to swim squad tomorrow in an outdoor pool, oh well I guess its not like I'll be able to get any wetter LOL!

Guys, my RR is in draft and it's loooooooong. I need to edit. No one will want to read it.

It's just that it was such a monumental achievement for me that I don't know what to leave out!

it was purrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect!

I just read the comments left this afternoon and I have to say I teared up a bit! All of you guys are so incredibly nice. And I don't even know some of those people. To think you can inspire anyone just doing what you do is amazing. Thanks for reading it, means a lot to me

They reply because you deserve it. What you did was incredible.

Hi Freaky Freaks!

I missed you today!

There she goes, back into NIBBS to talk about being single and looking for hot Tri guys with Kristin and Supercat, then discuss more important things like melon holders.

Whatever, we talk about other things too. Like chocolate and hot tri guys.... ooops. Ok, so it's mostly hot tri guys

Or cyclists... I have a thing for cyclists... sometimes Im sooo disappointed though... a guy can seem sooooo attractive to me while on a bike and sooo NOT while off it!!!

No surprises here, i am Fat and Ugly on and off the bike, and i have a big aZZ.

Totally! I was telling a tri guy friend of mine that guys on bikes are way deceiving. Have you ever noticed how hot they all look in their race photos when they're all bada$$ on the bike, but then you really see them and you're like - um what??? I've notice a lot of guys look all hot in their avatars here and are just regular, average guys in life. So funny.

If you think i look hot in my race photo's you need glasses!!  ;0p

But i am working on it. ;0)

I've noticed that regarding some women.

I'm up front and say that I know that I'm a twig/zipper/Flat Stanley.

Please send me the interpretation/definition of these. thanx  lololo

... Of course being the nice wife that I am...I had to promise him to do some stuff that he wants. ...

Chris

You mean you're going to stick your hands down your pants, grunt, fart, burp (not necessarily in that order) and hang on to the remote whilst sitting on the couch drinking beer and watching some football?

OMG not! Actually I already watch football. Go Gators!! As for the other stuff...it has not been mentioned.  So you can just draw your own conclusions LOL. Off to work now...before I get into too much trouble. See ya guys

Chris

So, I started my first thread and its in the michigan forum (I live in Indiana but just over the border) to find out what races the michigan folk really liked cuz thats prob where my first tri will be.  Nobody is responding 24 views but no posts.  I'm thinking it could be a couple different things

  1. I comited a cardinal sin by posting in their forum
  2. Michiganders don't like hoosiers
  3. They just don't like me
  4. I'm being impatient (go drink a pomagranite martini and check back later)
  5. Found several grammer/sp errors and they don't like that
  6. There are no good tri's in Michigan (find that one hard to believe)

What do you all think?

I'm from Michigan, I'll take a stab at this one:

  1. I comited a cardinal sin by posting in their forum I post in other state forums and usually get a decent response, except for those prickly 'sconsies
  2. Michiganders don't like hoosiers This very well could be possible, especially those self-important east-siders.
  3. They just don't like me Absolutely not possible!
  4. I'm being impatient (go drink a pomagranite martini and check back later) Eureka! This has to be it!
  5. Found several grammer/sp errors and they don't like that Um, most people couldn't find grammar or proper spelling with a map and a flashlight...
  6. There are no good tri's in Michigan (find that one hard to believe) There are a couple well-known ones, but I'm guessing the community outside of Detroit is weak.
So, now that some time has passed, any responses?

LOL! Thanks for that!  Will try and be patient (maybe sip a few more martinis)
