chartierm22 - 2008-11-18 3:02 PM Can other people register you for a race?  With your permission of course?  I'm thinking this might be a good christmas gift idea.  Or would I just have to ask for moneys to put tward entry fees?

I think as long as someone has all the details they can register for you... they would just need your USAT membership. age. contact details etc...

Oh that brings up another question, what is a USAT membership, do I need one, and where do I get one if I need one?

Oh Phil!!!!

I know how it works in Australia - its like an annual membership you sign up for online and has an insurance component build in...

I assume its the same in the US? Here in Australia you can race without a TA membership but you have to pay extra for the race...

Hey Phil,

How's your little guys head doing?  Still have a bump?

Very slightly, but the color is still there.  Dig this.  He hit his head a couple of days later on top of his head.  He was trying to get his shoes on or something in our mudroom where our front-loader washing machine is, the door was open, and he schmooked/schmucked the top of his noggin getting up.  OW!!  I didn't see the bumpage until I was giving him a bath the other night.  He uses his head a lot as some kind of bumper, I swear!  I feel so bad for him.

Ow ow ow sounds like he hasnt got that whole spatial awareness, check before you move thing going on yet...

Then again Ive never quite mastered it... Im still bumping into things as an adult...

Naw - he's 3-1/2 and totally has spatial awareness.  It's the "not-watching-what-the-heck-I'm-doing"age, or "not-fully-coordinated"age.

So, I went to Brooklyn tonight after work and saw apartments. The good news is that I walked an hour so a point for me (not such good news for my poor feet). The bad news is that the apartments were horrible! One had no sink in the bathroom and even worse, no real kitchen to speak of. For the love of god. I miss Manhattan already

Is this what you're looking for -
https://www.usatmembership.com/default.aspx

I've never got one since I only have done 3 tri's - 2 1/2 IM and an IM, so I just pay the one day membership for the race during signup.
