That sucks, Ann. But you are a stronger person, and know that he has no control over you whatsoever. (((hugs))). I hope the rest of your Christmas has been Merry!

Good morning Ghoulies!

Who is snowed in today? Saturday night they were calling for 6-10" where I live. Sunday morning it was 3-6", Sunday afternoon it was down to 1-3", then just a dusting. All we got was a few flakes. We didn't even get enough to cover the driveway or yard. We were hoping for snow, lots of new snow toys and clothes for Christmas.

Morning Ghouligans. Had a VERY long drive back from VT yesterday. I thought I'd left in time to beat the storm, but miscalculated a bit. It took almost 3 hours to cover the last 60 miles. Hairy, scary driving conditions. I had a couple slides but thankfully stayed on the road and didn't hit anything. I was exhausted when I finally got home last night.

We have at least 18 inches of snow, so guess what I'm doing later today???? Yep, going to put the snow shoes on and go for a stroll around the golf course. At the moment the wind gusts are 30+mph, so waiting for that to pass.

Going to make myself coffee. Street still not plowed so not likely anyone can bring me a cup.

Geez mon Kim, that does not sound like an enjoyable Sunday drive. Glad you made it home safe. I heard this morning that you could get 20+ inches. Is it still snowing? Winds are 40-50mph here. If you get out to snow shoe have fun, but remember naps can be enjoyable, too.

Glad you made it safely Kim - enjoy the snowshoeing!!!

Did you get me that job??? LOL

Hope you had a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Bill! Unfortunately I didn't make it to the shop.  I headed back early because of the storm. Didn't want to be stranded. My parents live up on the mountain and tend to be snowed in for days at a time during bigger storms.  I'll be back up there in a couple weeks though.

Morning Ann! Can't believe you guys missed out on all the white stuff. I think we have about 18 inches. Friends that live just a few miles east of me have over 2 feet. Fortunately, I think the storm is over, other than the wind gusts.

I think a nap will most certainly follow the snow shoeing.  I hear the snow plows down the street, so my driveway and walk should be cleared soon. I can't even get out the front door right now.

I got 2 new pair of UA snow sport socks, ski mittens, a new fleece, and a ski hat. My kids both got ski gloves, and a big heavy duty inner tube sled for Christmas. We were really hoping for snow so we could use our new stuff.

Pack the truck and head up here. There is a great hill on the golf course for the inner tube. The neighborhood 'kids' are probably already out there.  Last year one of the kids let me borrow his sled for a couple runs while he tried out my snow shoes.

That's funny. I love going down the hills, it's the hike back up that I can do without.

It's not uncommon to have 4-wheelers or snowmobiles running people back up the hill where we live. We also have been known to have a bonfire at the top of the hill with hot chocolate and snacks.

Your hills sound like lots more fun than mine. The golf club would frown on the 4 wheelers, but are good sports about sledding and snow shoeing. I'll put a request in for hot chocolate or we can always bring a thermos.

Since your hills have snow right now and mine don't, I can't be too picky. I'll leave the 4-wheeler at home and pack a thermos. I hope the kids share their new sled with us.

I'm sure I'm too late, but if you're not feeling well then take it easy. No need to push it right now. First priority is to get better, then you will be able to train for IMLP.
