I really have to get back with the physio when he gets back from vacation so I can get cleared to run again... not running is sending me a little nutty although Im gonna have to be so careful and conservative (NOT in my nature Im an all or nothing kind of girl)

I know exactly what you mean. How are you feeling today, Cat?

Tired... but I have a starbucks sitting next to me... I went out to an early movie and cried off and on through the whole thing (Im suck a dork!)

Im gonna grab another swim later today... its HOT here today.. over 30 degrees (about 90F) and only gonna get hotter now summer seems to have shown up in Sydney!

milaminute - 2007-12-28 8:58 PM Dating now is so different... it really isn't dating... it's more like "Hi, thanks for visiting my MySpace page. I am going to be at XYZ tonight with my posse. Come hang out if you're hot". Then, it's the digit exchange and the text messages and group date scene... at least that's my old lady interpretation of it.
Good. Maybe when my 9 year old starts dating they won't even talk to each other. I have noticed that a lot of the teens do like the group date thing. Sounds better than getting stuck with some sleeze for an evening.

hehe well we used to do it... it was funny.... because all your friends would tell all his friends that you liked him and they would tell you that he liked you so you would go to a movie or something and sit next to each other with all your friends and usually be too scared to even talk to each other...  (I know I set up a few of my friends like this...  Ishould be thankful they still talk to me!)

Seriously you could be considered 'dating' and never actually spend anytime together when I was in high school... at least between about 11/12 and 14ish.. then dating kind of kicked in for real...

That's kind of what my 9 year old is going through now. He has a "girlfriend". She gives her friends messages to tell him and he does the same to his friends. They have "gone out" one on one to Baskin Robbins last summer before school was out. It was really cute. They traded Pokemon cards.

In a weird way it seems like a really sweet way to get used to the whole boy girl relationship thing...

That's what I thought. It gave him a chance to see that girls are real people with their own interests and feelings. And sometimes those are the same as yours.

OK Nibbs... here's your NEW challenge:

I'm making my New Year's Eve ride.  I need songs with New, Year, Day or Eve in the title or it could be in the name of the CD or artist.  Give it your best shot. Examples, you say?

New Year's Day by U2 (duh)
Story of A Girl by Nine Days
Life in One Day by Howard Jones
Welcome to Paradise by Green Day
Up and Up by Reliant K (off the CD Five Score and Seven Years Ago)
Dream All Day by the Posies
Better Days by Goo Goo Dolls
Have a Nice Day by Bon Jovi
Year 3000 by The Jonas Brothers

You get the idea.  No.  I am not using New Kids on the Block.

Ideas????

She's cute, Pam, and lives in a different state... it could work well!

ARTIST: Zager and Evans
TITLE: In the Year 2525

In the year 2525
If man is still alive.
If woman can survive, they may find.

In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies.
Everything you think, do and say, is in the pill you took today.

In the year 4545
Ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes.
You won't find a thing to chew.
Nobody's gonna look at you.

In the year 5555
Your arms hanging limp at your sides.
Your legs got nothing to do.
Some machine doing that for you.

In the year 6565
Ain't gonna need no husband, won't need no wife.
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too.
From the bottom of a long glass tube. Whoa-oh

In the year 7510
If God's a-comin, he oughta make it by then.
Maybe he'll look around himself and say.
[In The Year 2525 lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

Guess it's time for the judgment day.

In the year 8510
God is gonna shake his mighty head.
He'll either say.I'm pleased where man has been.
Or tear it down and start again. Whoa-oh

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wonderin if man is gonna be alive.
He's taken everything this old Earth can give.
And he ain't put back nothing. Whoa-oh

Now it's been ten thousand years
Man has cried a billion tears.
For what he never knew,
now man's reign is through.

But through eternal night.
The twinkling of starlight.
So very far away.
Maybe it's only yesterday.

In the year 2525
If man is still alive.
If woman can survive, they may find.

In the year 3535 {fade}

His current love is moving to Costa Rica in 3 years. I think I'm safe. Although there will be lots of drama if they're still "together" when she moves. This kind of dating isn't bad. If only it could stay like this...

LOL!  Indeed...

Did he buy himself a new toy?

My friend's hubby bought himself a Harley against her wishes but tried to butter her up by giving her a sassy helmet when he brought it home.  She put the total amount he spent on a piece of paper and said he owed her that much money.  Then every time she bought something frivilous and just for her, she would subtract it from the total.  That motorcycle didn't last too long .
