Howdy Team - I am back for today and then off to the west coast on a surprise business trip.

I am going to PM Cat and ask for a change in my goals because my stages included commuting time.

Hope everyone is having a great challenge.

What????  you are not gonna ride to Cali???  Slacker.....

Got talked into riding yesterday morning. My mate loves climbing so we went into the Peak District. I took him up one hill that's not much more than a farm track. Plenty of gates to open which keep the sheep in the right fields. Had to shout at a couple to get them out the way. It's more of a MTB road, steep for a racing bike.

Team standings as best as I can tell:

1. Garmin 90.01% complete
2. Liquigas 73.37%
3. Quickstep 71.65%
4. Leopard Trek 66.79%
5. Sky 49.69%
6. BMC - can't tell from their spreadsheet

For all teams, I did not include data from riders who completed less than 10% of their stated goal.

My best guess at team standings...Liquigas is challenging Garmin for the win!

1. Garmin 93.75% (1 rider at 100%)
2. Liquigas 91.52%??? (no riders at 100%)
2. Quickstep 73.78% (2 riders at 100%)
3. Leopard trek 66.79% (2 riders at 100%)
4. Sky 55.84 or 58.10% (looks like they lost half their team)
5. BMC 60.63%???? (1 rider at 100%)

wgraves7582 - 2011-07-23 12:42 AM Here you go a picture from the top of the Continental Divide at this location.  The legs were burning on the way up - 6.7 mph avg and flying on the way down 19.7 mph avg.  Why can't it all be downhill??

That's what we want - downhills & tailwinds

Oh no! The Tour de France is over. What are we going to do now?

Well, we're gonna have a one week challenge. This will get us through July, at least.

You can set goals in ONE to FOUR activities: Swim, bike, run and/or other.
If you fall behind in one goal, you can make it up in another. (Ex: 0% Swim + 200% Run is still 100% Overall)

At the end of the week, the WINNERS will be determined by:
a) The overall average in each category. (Ie: Swim average, Run average, etc.)
b) Individual totals. (Ie: the person with the highest completion average)

To participate, check out the Post-TdF One Week Challenge thread!

By now we can assume that all riders have entered their challenge totals in their team spreadsheets. So, the final results of the TdF challenge are.....(insert drum roll here)....

First place is a tie between Garmin and Liquigas! Garmin came in at 99.66% with 6 riders reaching 100%. Liquigas came in at 99.36% with 5 riders reaching 100%.

Second place goes to Quickstep who reached 91.19% with 4 riders at 100%.

Third place goes to BMS with 88.65% and 3 riders reaching 100%.

Fourth place goes to Leopard Trek with 69.15% and 2 riders reaching 100%.

Fifth place goes to Sky with 65.60% and 2 riders reaching 100%.

In the unofficial post-count challenge, Garmin and Liquigas tie again for first as both had 11 pages of posts in their team thread. Quickstep had 7, BMC had 6, Sky had 4, and Leopard Trek had 3. It seems like the key to this challenge is team communication. The more your teammates talked to each other the more likely the team was to get everyone to their goals.
