Miracle of miracles, my hotel has a gym (not the norm in EU). I actually was able to bike this morning with no knee pain. So will try to run when I get back to the States on Thursday. Hoping to get back in the game. Whereabouts in Europe are you? Zurich this week - land of cheese and chocolate. I'm in EU a week or two every month. Sounds exotic, but can be pretty tiring. Hard to find pools in some cities and not a lot of hotels have gyms. Usually, I just heavy up on the run but that's not working out so well this week. Plus, I've only had 3 hours sleep since Sunday morning. A couple hours on the flight over Sunday night then last night was a disaster. I had slept a little over an hour and my freaking phone rang. Forgot to turn it off. Was a knucklehead on my team that forgot I was traveling. Once I was awake, I was done for...forgot the ambien. Long night, no sleep. Long day, but I just did my stretches and hope to get a good night in tonight. On the morning flight back tomorrow. BTW, Congrats on signing up for IM Moo next year! Will look forward to following your training. |

We sure are a quiet group! I managed to get a couple of runs in while I'm in Atlanta. It's a lot different than home -- what we call "hills" are actually considered flat in Atlanta, so my runs have been a bit of a challenge. I see that most of us aren't updating the spreadsheet. Are we giving up already? It's only the middle of the month... What part of Atlanta did you run in? I lived in Buckhead many years ago. Great area. When I am in Florida the only hills I've found are the overpasses! Our condo is near Piedmont Hospital -- between Buckhead and Midtown. So I took off down Peachtree, up the hills and headed toward Five Points. I definitely call it an "urban" run, but it was fun! And yes, hills are rather scarce here in Florida. We actually have a run called the Double Bridge Run, and the highlights are the two overpasses! |

I hope you had a good trip! |

Expert 1117 Shalimar, FL | Subject: RE: Nads - End of Summer Challenge So Nads, we are 50% through the month. But we have lots of hurt Nads and I hope everyone heals quickly and safely. I actually had a fun speedwork session tonight. It was very hot and steamy, but after my warm-up it just didn't seem to matter. I had a forced rest day yesterday (tons of rain!), so maybe that helped. But I got some really good quarters in, even at the end of my workout! |

Oh well, I'm happy I got the Shoulders & Back session in, plus abs. Zoikes, I'm sore! Neal, congrats on IMoo!! This will be your first IM, right? Great job to the travelers - I always WANT to work on when I'm traveling, but it never seems to actually happen. |

My parents did the program last fall and both saw very good results. I would jump into the workouts with them whenever I was visiting and they always left me sore. |

I'm sitting here in my running clothes, but I'm not sure the run is going to happen. Hoping for a break in the clouds to fit it in... We've got baseball tickets tonight, so I sure hope it rains itself out by then! |
