(that whole, "ride your kids' bike, and take pics thing. LOL SUPER STINKY!! LOL) Well, I do have my "Evil Dee" reputation to uphold. (I thought that was funny! Especially since I'm betting that at least one of them is still riding a tricycle! ) Remember also -- I don't have a bike, either! So I guess you and I can ride this: Edited by D001 2008-07-02 12:28 AM |

I just took some vicodin though as it's niggling a little. I think I've damaged some tendons or some nerves around the elbow area. Still trying to catch my boss in the am to have her check on it. I have no insurance and don't want to spend any more money on one if I don't have to. Those pics are scary-looking!
Watch what you say. There might be some FACE pics in there this week. |

Expert 642 | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july tlnewman30 - 2008-07-01 11:31 PM I would like to join in on this little run gathering. My marathon training is just beginning for the Oct 18th Denver Marathon. I will hopefully be putting in 17-20 miles/week during July and working up from there. I don't want to step on anybody's toes as far as challenge compitition, but would like having other people keeping me honest. I look forward to being envolved with this fellow group of runners. Awesome - join all us crazy folk...just be sure to post a lot! |

Expert 642 | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july Kenny Black - 2008-07-01 11:33 PM OK....it really is the usual suspects......and here is another......I'm in!!! Stick me down for 60 miles for July. Can I count my run from this morning since I ran the longest I ever have in one go? Gives me a good kick start to the month. Good to see you're back out of your cheerleader role Lynne and thanks Lyssa for stepping up and getting this "casual" challenge going.
WHO IS THAT MAN IN YOUR PHOTO....and WHAT DID YOU DO TO SHREK????!!! ...kidding...you look awesome, Kenny. Edited by dcrunningdiva 2008-07-02 7:00 AM |

Expert 642 | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july tlnewman30 - 2008-07-01 11:42 PM Triathlynne - 2008-07-01 9:39 PM There's a 1/2 marathon in November here in Seattle. I am already signed up for that, next year as I'll be training for a 70.3 I'm going do the entire marathon. So that's only 2 full races next year for me. Mental? Not mental, just stubborn like the rest of us. My goal is 3 full marathons next year. I am still getting into the tri thing. Just with the 70.3 you are my idol. Good luck reaching that goal. I did two marathons during 2007 and it felt pretty great. I had run a marathon in 2004 before my daughter was born so this was my first AFTER she was born. I did one in March and one in October. I almost didn't do the second one thanks to my dh having some heart issues (in an otherwise healthy man). I just completely stopped training mid-summer. I had told a friend (who was running her first) I would run 10 miles with her to help her along. When I thought about it (4 days before the race...only 7 miles as my LR) I realized I was going to a) get ready for the race b) fight all the people/traffic (it was in DC), c) run at least 10 miles. So, I decided just to jump in there and run the entire race. I had never trained with "Gallowalking" but decided to do it race day. Thankfully it was NOT a mistake to do that and I ended up with a PR! Who knew! I have contemplated the JFK 50 Miler for next year but after my first year of tri'ing I am totally hooked and running has become my least favorite of the three sports now (hence my participation in this thread). My new goal to reach is a 1/2 Iron next year. I'm just not sure which one to do (there are several here in DC). |

Expert 642 | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july lyssa-gator - 2008-07-01 11:56 PM OMG lynne! i forgot to tell you!! dh's work schedule for august is mon-fri (usually he's fri-tues) so he's TOTALLY COMING TO DANSKIN WITH ME!!! i'm kind of freaking out!! i've never raced with him around before!!! it's sorta making me nervous!! you're going to have to tell me everything about danskin too, since you've done it once. is it hilly? where's the swim? (all i know is that the race is in seattle, i'm not even 100% sure WHERE in seattle it IS) like i told another friend today, pretend like i live in a cave, and never leave. (she said--"who's pretending?" LOL) I FORCE my DH to come to ALL my races. He's not real excited about it but he does it. |

I was there in April for a month. My sister in law had twins. Pics in my album and blog if you're interested. They are awfully cute little boys. Hard to believe they are related to me. Good grief. This whole time I thought those twins were YOURS and this was the reason I didn't bug you to finish your word game on FB! You have NO EXCUSE now! |

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july Sorry, no camera on the run since I read the thread after I finished. It wasn't my best work but I completed the distance that I wanted to (5 miles). I will look and see if I have some good pics of bandit to put up. If I don't have any I am sure I can get some since he is a photo hound, no pun intended. Edited by tlnewman30 2008-07-02 9:38 AM |

My legs locked up on me and truth be told my mind gave up some as well, so I ended up walking a good portion of the last 3-4 miles. |
