50 percent chance of rain and supposed to be windy on Saturday. Damn!

Cat, I saw one of the Rabobank riders practicing on the Prologue course today that runs right by my office building. He was casually turning a big gear and yet FLYING along.

Such a difference between us on the bike and the pros isnt there?

I try to do that if I have an AM workout... have everything packed/laid out and I even write a list of what i have to do in the morning so I dont forget anything...

Otherwise me and morning workouts do NOT happen!

Has anyone ever told you that you're a *little* bit anal?

it has been especially evident lately.  The OCD in me has been on overtime.

All the prep stuff is how I manage to get out the door by 5 in the morning.  I need to make sure that there is very little to think about.  I bet that it would take me half an hour to get dressed at 4 in the morning if I didn't have the clothes right there.

I don't know about you, but it takes me a little while to get my brain going in the morning.

Then again, if I take my morning meds right away I will be in high gear within 30 minutes.

It is amazing what a bit of prozac, lamictal, lithium, and adderall will do for your mental state.

I am a bit of a fireball in the morning.

Huge, huge difference. It looks like the weather is going to be sucky for all the stages again this year. The first two years, the weather was spendid, but we are so far behind on rain (and snowpack) that we *really* need it, even if its not great for the riders or the spectators.

We don't have any local hammerheads that look as comfortable on the bike as this guy did. I don't know who it was, I was over a block away walking to my office from the parking garage after a doc's appt. and he was there and then GONE.

I'll probably ride Sophie down on Saturday... I can put her in my building locked up where its dry and if the weather is too ugly I can watch from one of our windows upstairs inside. But I really want to get near the booths the vendors and teams put up. REALLY cool.

Its great that you have some stages so close!!! And that you can take advatnage of it! Guess there will be a few pro teams hanging around town in the lead up!

We do, but farther south than here.

really, I thought that I had seen a field of olive trees on the drive down.  But then again, it has been several years and I have a good imagination.   I have definitely passed the cranberry bogs though.

Goodnight.

Good thing cyclists are tough!

Its bucketing down here and meant to all weekend... I REALLY want to ride but the truck is currently on loan to a friend and I cant be bothered with the whole process that has to happen if I ride my roadie...

Hoping for a break in the weather so I can get out at least for a bit!
