Subject: RE: wwlani's let's get started group - ClosedResistance training, followed by a mile swim (500 yd warm up, 6x50 yd sprint (best time 35 seconds ), 5x50 yd kicking or easy recovery, 100 yd catch up drill, 500 yd cool down, in about that order ), 10 minutes cycling, then 10 minutes running, followed by a 5 minute cooldown walk. Total swim time for the short course mile, including breaks between sets, 38 minutes. Felt good today, had brief cramping (left calf again ) on last lap of swim and just as I began running, but these were easily stretched out in 30 seconds or so. Speed's not back in the swim yet, but I was able to easily finish the mile this time. WooHoo! |
