Hi,

Did a 7 mile run today and seem to have restressed my left foot problem it has pretty much hurt all day.  On the plus side it didn't really hurt while I was running at least not much.

Not going to sign up for anything until I can run mostly pain free.  Am looking at a long course duathlon in Sept. but I can commit if I cann't train.

I am signed up for a bike ride on June 6 but it is only 34 miles.

Ouch.  I don't envy you at all.  I remember our hottest day last year, 112F.  Hottest ever recorded in Seattle.  My parents were over from Scotland at the time. It was just miserable

Finishing up my prep weeks here for HIM training, then the real stuff starts I guess.  I'm pooping myself.

Hi all.  Rest day for me today. Thank goodness, I realllllly need it.  My 1st tri is June 12th   Sprint, then heading to Ocean shores for 3 days in July and doing an Oly there.  I won a free entry after I submitted a race report to a new website.  Cannot wait.  Little vacation all for me.

Debating on whether to do the Victoria 1/2 mary on 10.10.10

I was going to do the mary on 10.10.10! But I'm doing the Nike Womens in San Fran on 10.17.10! You should do the half! I hear it is an awesome race!

I guess I'll answer my own QOTD first. I started tri because I needed to get back into competition because I 1) got kinda fat and 2) didn't have any sort of fitness goal. I had been thinking about it for awhile and in Jan 2008 (I was in Hawaii and started to swim and run again) it started. I think tri was good for me because I already had.a significant background in 1 of the sports but would never be able to return to be "competitive" in swimming again...trust me: I tried...haha. Last winter and you forget how difficult it is when you stop for awhile! Ridiculousness! So thats my story of why I tri! What is all of yours?

Jon! I hope your foot is feeling a bit better! I'm dealing with my own nagging glut/hip strain from my HM. No fun. Been doing what I can and really making sure I get my stretches in! Getting ready for that bike?
