Sic the Argentine dogo on the ghost geckos. Problem solved! Oh dear. The dogo is now attacking every wall in sight, and trying to charge the front door to get to the invisible outside ones. You probably think I'm kidding. Then again ... you know me well. Hehe, poor dogo... So, is this a recent infestation of ghost geckos? My bad. The closest one (kept appearing in that little space between the laptop screen and keyboard, although behind it) turned out to be a large, roach-like insect with a gecko-tail like appendage. This doesn't bother me at all. But there are other ghost geckos, and they draw nearer. Last night was people-and-dog ghosts. Tonight ... the vampire geckos roam wild at midnight. In other news ... my sister and I pulled off another edition of this island's "Oscars" ... the industry awards. Unlike last year, I did not bring a piglet home. (Needed to rush home to watch Tour de Buttwaggling Piglets). However, the head of Heineken wouldn't stop kissing me, and kept pledging undying love to me and my tri club, promising all kinds of support, and free beer for all the athletes. Decent day o' work. |

Do I go to French class today or no? My company offers me free French classes 3 times a week. I have class today at 2, but I also have a TON of work to do, but I have pretty much been given the green light to not have it finished today. But an hour of French means an hour without TAN... Decisions, decisions. TAN will still be here when you get back. Yes, but unfortunately so will my work. I kinda just want to plug away and get this done. Don't you just love it when people give you 3-4 hour lead times on URGENT work? I work with a guy from France, guys who speak French at the right times are hot. Does this help? |

Oh you mean what he said ... I'm pretty sure I got the translation clearly (although it took a long time and didn't fall into place until tonight): "I'm allergic to you" = "Your last crazy informed me he would slice my willy off with paper cuts if I didn't stop seeing you." English parents moved to France as a young couple ... stayed there, still there ... their boys are from there, grew up there, are Froggit as Froggit can be. He's truly natively fluent in French and English, both, equally, and fluent in several other later-acquired languages. Not the language of love, for sure, but I understand his desire to keep his willy where it is. |

That's one thing about places other than North America... (I don't know about other places, but much of Europe is like this) Everyone speaks a multitude of languages. It is really amazing as a born and bred English-only speaker to hear that the majority (stats aren't my thing. This could be an exaggeration) of people over in Europe speak 3, 4, 5+ languages fluently. |

It is nothing like France French. And that being said, I have a horrible accent when I speak, so I will probably stick to the English around you I didn't say I understood it I just like the sound. When I speak it, the sound doesn't sound right... A least to my (un)trained ear. It sounds funny when I try too so I guess we'll just have to stick to *in my head*you begging *in my head* in English. If I do it in French, though, you can assume what you want, and you won't have to pretend to be hearing things in your head... He heh heh fiesty aren't you?? Who, me? Never... |

Je pense que maintainant ce n'est pas le temps correct... Problem with that is I am learning more of a Quebecois French, which, in my opinion, is a complete bastardization of the language. It is nothing like France French. And that being said, I have a horrible accent when I speak, so I will probably stick to the English around you I didn't say I understood it I just like the sound. That's too bad I kinda like 'em a little fiesty Isn't that right Yanti? How are you doing Poptart Goddess? |
