Pulled a calf at the 2.x mile mark and had to stop. I'm hoping it's just a cramp and not a bad pull. However, it really hurts so I'm not sure.

Tomorrow will tell.

Hope the leg is feeling better Craig.  As my logs indicate, I am just going to be doing strentgh and core stuff for a couple of days and then get back to it on Sunday with a 90minute ride(or more) at the DTC with jszat and then start my HIM plan on Monday.

And yes Phil I do forsee a lot of Garmin usage as long as it warms slightly.  Running the other day with the negative windchill was not fun.

The leg is actually worse this morning. I anticipate bonding with the pool for the next few weeks.

I didn't realize how much I enjoyed running- untill I couldn't.

Train Smart!

Dude - take it easy!

I threw in 2100 yards swimming last night.  Now I'm sore (but I love the swim challenge)!

Nice job on the swim!  Did you kiss the ground when you got out of the pool?

That is how I felt when I got out of the pool after doing 3000 or so.  It wasn't really all that hard, I was just sick of seing that stupid pool floor for that long.

It's an inside joke about kissing the groud after swimming. At Moo, FirstTimeTri kissed the ground after his swim, much to the pleasure of the crowd.  The next day, people were still talking about it.

It was a spur of the moment thing, actually!  I should make that a trademark at our swim sessions and at SOR (it'll be a little sandy, though)!  You need to come up with something, and "EEEAAAWWW" doesn't count!

Great job. It's amazing how 1400 yards here and there add up to many, many miles at the  end of the year.

Good morning all.  Who loves warm foggy weather in January.  This guy.  Didn't get an outside workout today but did do 30 miles on the Computrainers.  The one nice thing about starting at 6 is that I am already done for today.  YAY.

Yep - just drove up the road to my  house and couldn't see it.  All I need to do is to see a few feet in front of me - no way I am passing this weather up

Good Luck Scott. Having a plan tends to help with motavation duing the winter and can get you out training when you really don't want to.

 Which plan are you starting?

Craig, I am doing the free BT HIM plan.  Got both workouts in today which i am pumped about.

Phil, I had the HR monitor on during the run and I was averaging around 135-150.  I need to figure out my zones especially before tomorrow as I have  a 30 min run and a 60 minute trainer ride.

It was nice while it lasted.

I'm going to try a light run tonight- wish me luck

OK team.. what's on tap for today?

Since the leg is still having problems, I'm looking at 2000 yards in the pool.
