My mom is always against those trying to act too young and what is age appropriate. So I'm a bit paranoid about it. barqhead - 2007-12-13 4:59 PM Question for the Nibbins. Can a 37 mommy pull off a Victoria Beckham hairstyle? My hair was super short of the summer and I'm growing it out a tad. Really like the short in the back, long in the front thing she has going on. Opinions? Just b/c you're 37 and a mom doesn't mean you can't wear what's in style (so be it hair or clothes) I say go for it and be the cool, hip mom that you are!!!!!!!!!! Remember, there's a difference b/t age appropriate and current styles... It's also cool to use pink or blue highlights (see Kendra's future daughter-in-law), but that wouldn't be age appropriate. Don't let yourself get stuck in the time warp of "your era." There's a lady at the gym who still dresses like it's 1987... it may be "age appropriate", but is definitely not in style. Just don't do anything too weird. there is a test for the time warp... if you did a fashion the first time it came around you should NOT attempt it when it returns a second time... And if something you have been doing for a long time becomes fashionable, it automatically menas you are out of fashion (and have been for some time) But the thing that amazes me is not the fashion thing.... its the people trying to dress like a teenager. i would NEVER want to dress like a 16 year old... for starters I am not flat, tall with sticks for legs... and I actually dont think thats a bad thing! Darn it, now I'm going to have to put away the outfit that I picked out to wear to work tomorrow! Im sure you look great!!!! Im sure you dont have clevage in a neon cropped tank top, a tiny mini skirt thing, too much make up and ballet slippers... (ok this might be a bit extreme but I saw all these kids while I was out at drinks last night.... and I felt OLD and yes I know Im not even close to old!!!) |

Yeah, that's what I like. Low maintenance and it would probably look good if I had to let it air dry (like if I snuck in a swim before my shift). |

Heather--you know plasma TVs can weigh as much as I do, depending on the size, so it isn't out of the question for it ot be a (nice) TV. Don't ATVs weigh more than 80 pounds? And the play type weigh less than that? I hate ATVs so I'd say sell it either way. They're death traps. Seriously. Especially for kids, and males.

Sal is not currently on BT because he is shopping for a swim cap. (Pink with plastic flowers.) 2. Beth has an office party. Since she'll be holding a plate and a cup, she will only be able to ingest liquids through a straw. (I wonder if they serve alcohol in sippy cups.) 3. Pam is thinking of cutting her hair. Cat recommends that Pam not revisit former styles, such as the Mullet. (That is the only hairstyle I can think of that has a name! LOL) At this point, my brain imploded. However, I recall assorted comments, made by assorted people, which include: 4. Someone is buying pasties for her office party. (And no, there is no typo in that sentence.) 5. Fishnet stockings. 6. A party with lots of food, dogs and an ATV -- but no cheesecake. OK. Either I'm now up to speed, or I'm hopelessly confused. |

It'll be nice to have cute hair for Christmas! barqhead - 2007-12-13 5:40 PM This is me and my short hair right after I cut it in March. It is longer and shaggier now. I would think that your "proposed" hair cut would look great with your facial structure. Your March hair cut looks cute, as well. Pictures, we'll need a new picture of your new haircut! |
