Happy Monday everyone!  We are having a drive by sprinkle of rain, whoo hoo!!  I'm sure not enough to mean anything, but it's nice to see the cloud cover and water coming out of the sky... 

Easy week for me, taper week for Waco on Sunday!  I'm hoping to break out of this 2nd place rut I've gotten into!  I shouldn't complain, but there's nothing like a 1st place to boost your ego!

Must be nice!! haha... Some of us are just trying to make it to MOP!!!!  We are pretty dry here now too....hasn't rained in quite a while.  My water bill will be high cuz my sprinklers have been running every other day...but good news is that my lawn is looking better than my neighbors...they had me early in the year...but I weed killed and fertilized a week or so ago and now I'm kickin' their butt.....they have brown lawns..mine is green..hahaha  I'm sure they were wondering WTF earlier in the spring cuz mine was pretty bad..haha...And I get to laugh while they try and move sprinklers...hehe....I just automatically start watering at 2;30AM~!!!  Anywho....I want to run tonight...having some heartburn but want to at least try to get it in....but it's 7:30 now and still 91.4 degrees....I'm not gunna do that!!  You Texan's can keep your stupid weather!!!

KOREAN NOODLE LADY.....HMMMMM THAT SOUNDS INTERESTING...IS THAT A CODE WORD FOR SOMETHING THAT NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT????  

Wait, doesn't EVERYONE have Korean noodle ladies at their pool???  No code, that's EXACTLY what they are.  Korean ladies who hold a noodle and talk Korean to each other.  Sometimes they float with the noodles, sometimes they sit on them.

Wilson, I can't see your picture above??!  I take it that it's something to do with the weather?  It's 7:30 here and still 98 (feels like 102).  My weather website had a picture of a sign someone had outside their business, probably a church... "Satan called... He wants his weather back."

No doubt...it should be that hot anywhere!!!  The picture shows up fine here??? dunno. Here it is again - maybe this time??

Wow, this is an eye opener to me that not everyone has Korean Noodle ladies at their pools!  Must be a military base thing?  They do some funny stuff at the pool... hmmmm, how could I sneak a picture??

I could see Wilson's pic both time he posted it!   No Korean noodle ladies in Michigan, but I have other noodle ladies so I knew what Hilde was talking about.  Had 2 yesterday that were actually taking up a lane bobbing and talking (in English). 

The heat wave of 2011 is in full swing here.  Pretty sure I'm going to bag the tri tomorrow (unless it cools down drastically).  I ran this AM but that was before the sun came out.  I know this puts me firmly in the weenie category, but better a weenie than a heat stroke victim.

I couldn't see the picture either, or when Hilde posted it.  But I'm guessing it's the same things as they are saying for here.  Luckily, today is pretty cloudy, so I could run later (had to pick up a friend from the airport...1.5 hours one way), but even having just finished it was horrible.  I really hate chewing my air, and feeling like I'm breathing through a hot wet towel (I  AM in one of those sensitive groups they always talk about).  We are already planning on cancelling fencing Thursday night due to the forecast heat and humidity (the final decision will be make tomorrow night).

This damn Yankee can't handle this southern heat!

I feel bad for all you weenie Northeners trying to deal with our heat!  I've been acclimating since May, so I'm pretty much used to it.  Still sucks, but I can still deal with it when I have to.  Running in it is the worst....

So once I posted Wilson's pic, now I can see his??  WTF?  Where did you get that pic, Wilson, from H3LL???  It's possessed!!!

Yep, I'm a weenie northerner, and proud of it!  It's just not natural to be sweating sitting still.  I come from places that don't have AC because this weather is so rare.  

Besides, I love to run in 20 or 30F weather.  When winter comes, the southerners are the weenies!  

Just got the good news that my biopsy came back benign!  Woooohooooooooo for healthy Tatas!  Next step will be genetic testing if I can keep Mom off her bike long enough to get it done.  As for right now, I'm cancer-free! 

I cannot express how frustrated I am sitting at home, although i've got my nose stuck in a really cool book about a Veterinarian that kidnaps people and steals their organs.  I feel much relief knowing I'm in the clear for now, and can't wait to start logging workouts again. 

I'm feeling much better, but am still pretty sore/sensitive.  I'm not sure if I can hop on the bike quite yet, maybe if I jam these babies in a training bra that prevents ANY movement I can...hmmmmm, that's an idea! 

I have a better idea...you could buy a tandem bike and have the rear person hold them in place while you ride!!!  Ha ha...I'm sure you can find someone on Craigs list who would be perfect..haha...Glad you are feeling better and Thank God for the benign result!!!!

Hey all!! Yaaaay for Kati'dids boobies!!! Nobody wants assassin boobs though...maybe she should take a hit out on them first!! LOL

Okay...so I've joined the club for this season........I FELL....Yep, at a doggone intersection, waiting in the group to cross the road - crossed the tire of the dude in front of me and BAM down I went! SOB I was mad!! It was at the start of the ride so I got up, brushed my bruised ego...and my right hip off and got to steppin (or maybe pedaling?)

This is where I must say THANK GOD and crappy genetics for having some extra padding around my hip and upper - outer thigh area. Although it is throbbing tonight and isn't very happy after pulling an 8 hour shift on my feet - the bruising is all internal and there are just a few little points of red under the skin. No real road rash. Didn't break the skin at all...

Trying to fit training in to a schedule where I have to be AT WORK by 5 am and don't get out until nearly 2 when it's as hot as hades down here is NOT making me very happy at the moment. Fit them in where I can between everything else....

Hope everyone else is bearing the syndrome of HELL ON EARTH...Looking forward to the relay that my husband and HildeBEAST are doing with me!! Working on the run mostly for the next 2 weeks. May have to hit the community center a few times to get some running done on the dreadmill......

Drive-by hi everyone!

I'd apologize for being so crappily out of touch AGAIN this summer, but that would be boring and repetitive... let's just say I'll be back here daily starting in the fall and leave it at that, shall we? Steppenwolf is wonderful...and I now have two new scenes to memorize (on top of the other two I'm already working on) for our presentation week in three weeks' time. Today's the first day I've been able to switch my computer on for any length of time whatsoever-- I'm loving it all, but 'exhausting' doesn't even begin to cover it!

I'll update my logs when I get a chance-- I've been trying to keep up some kind of exercise through all the madness.

Main news, though: 1) I bought a new bike!! Will post pics when I get a chance; she's a Cervelo RS roadie, and just FABULOUS-- I've never been more comfy on a bike, and she's FAST! 2) I've been cleared to run again, and got new shoes!! So far, so good-- no huge distances yet (and heaven knows when the weather will stop being so wretchedly hot and humid anyway!), but slow and steady are my watchwords as I put one foot in front of the other.

So even if I'm more or less starting from scratch when I get into a fall routine, I'll be back, gang!

Wow - it got quiet in here.  Is anyone else annoyed that our resident goofball, Wilson, did not share that it was his birthday yesterday?
