I LOVE SNOW!

Surprisingly, I love snow too. It's so beautiful and the air is like nothing else, after a snowfall.

I just don't like the cold. I handled it well when I lived in the mountains, but I have no idea how, in retrospect.

Yanti!

How did the run go?

It was wicked fun. Everyone gets together at a pub beforehand, gets good and loose, y'know, then the invisible signal goes and we all strip down to the skivvies (some guys don't own Speedos and really do wear skivvies!) Then with Santa hats and bows and whatnot we tear down 3rd St. Promenade, a major walk-only shopping street, running and singing Christmas carols at the top of our lungs and generally wreaking havoc while on side streets cars honk, children laugh, shoppers gawk, tourists snap hundreds of pics, and we scream:

"IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN!"

Pretty sick, but it's true--it's a charity run for an at-risk children's tri organization.

Look at me blow up the thread...

This is a close up shot...the tire treads with chains are from the front of my car. The first track was one front wheel cutting across the bottom. Next came the two strips that arch across the middle. They are were my rear wheels slid across the lot. the last two parts are the front tire tracks that go up the middle of the pic and then back out of the picture into my parking spot.

Notice how far apart the tracks up the center are spaced...and then the tracks across the middle.

I have a shot that includes it all, but I am going to need to draw on the car's path for it to make much sense to most people.

Sounds great.  Maybe some future year I can come down and join you.  I am sure I could handle the 'cold' S Cal air.

I should have taken the picture of the pictures I drew in the previously untouched areas of the parking lot.  It would be a lot easier to see.

Arg...I can't get the photo editing program to open.  oh well...basically the circle my front tires left had a 3ft diameter.

Ha, the tire tread pic is great!

A good time was had by all today.

I'm going to go watch bad TV in hopes of knocking this headache out of my head.

Anyone still awake?

It is very difficult to explain to an almost 7 year old why you live in California... because 'my job is here' and 'it would be very hard for Daddy to find a job in Savannah doing the same thing, lots of people are out of jobs right now.'

Or that Mommy and Daddy hate each other and don't want to be by each other.  Okay, the truth would not work here.

Good Day Nibbs.

Another wonderful day at work. The nice thing about the weekend before Xmas is that the library is fairly quiet compared to normal weekends here. That's cause everyone else is at the malls. LOL

Too many Holiday parties. I was not happy with the scale this morning. Back to the grind with the workouts and the diet. Good news is that I'm still 16 pounds lighter than 2 months ago.
