LOL Okay...so I've joined the club for this season........I FELL....Yep, at a doggone intersection, waiting in the group to cross the road - crossed the tire of the dude in front of me and BAM down I went! SOB I was mad!! It was at the start of the ride so I got up, brushed my bruised ego...and my right hip off and got to steppin (or maybe pedaling?) This is where I must say THANK GOD and crappy genetics for having some extra padding around my hip and upper - outer thigh area. Although it is throbbing tonight and isn't very happy after pulling an 8 hour shift on my feet - the bruising is all internal and there are just a few little points of red under the skin. No real road rash. Didn't break the skin at all... Trying to fit training in to a schedule where I have to be AT WORK by 5 am and don't get out until nearly 2 when it's as hot as hades down here is NOT making me very happy at the moment. Fit them in where I can between everything else.... Hope everyone else is bearing the syndrome of HELL ON EARTH...Looking forward to the relay that my husband and HildeBEAST are doing with me!! Working on the run mostly for the next 2 weeks. May have to hit the community center a few times to get some running done on the dreadmill...... The peanut gallery thinks, comfortably from their couch, that you should do the swim and Hilde should do the run. Just sayin... Glad you survived the fall too. |

Veteran 222 Southern Maryland | Subject: RE: HILDEKQ'S Magnificently Motivational Mentor Group - CLOSED!! With the heat (well not so much teh heat) and humidity (definately the humidity) back to tolerable levels, I was able to get back outside for a bike today. Sadly, with all the crap I have to do for my upcoming 2 week vacation (camping), this was probably the only day I'll be able to get out before I leave. However, next week I will be attempting to get some running in (mostly level campground with some discreet gradual inclines), and the following week I will be fencing for what will probably be a minimum of 2 hours a day. Couple that with an average of 10 miles walked per day, and I don't think I'll lose much of what little progress I've made this season.
Almost to cooler weather. Come on, cooler weather!!!! |

Between the 3 of us, we have the perfect combo of abilities/strengths...we SHALL use them to our advantage!!!

YAY!!! So I decided to go on a bike ride with Mom and our bike team, Team Brotherhood. They did 20.8 miles....Kati did 10 I was pretty bummed that I couldn't hang with the crew, but realized that I've got to learn how to crawl before I can walk. I'll get there, but it WAS definitely great to at least get my bike out and do SOMETHING physically demanding. Happy Birthday to the Wilsoroni! WoooooHoooooo....too bad you didn't have your MMMr's there to livin up the party ehh? Hope everyone has a great weekend! |
