I'm still here.  I check in often.  My tri last weekend was good.  Got 2nd in my Athena division, made it up the hill from h3ll, and shaved 4 min. off of my time from last year.

How is everyone's weather?  It has been raining here for days and not looking like it's going to stop until Friday.  I've got some running I need to get done for my challenged  Running Pumpkins peeps in my challenge!

Um, true. I did *not* get sunburnt. Especially since it rained most of the time.

You generally DO have wacky tan lines going on. Remember the swim challenge last year?

Umm yeah... that was a couple of years ago but I still have swim suit tan lines, cycling gear tan lines, singlet running gear tan lines...

All weird and all terrible looking!

Not 100% sure yet - but I was thinking on it - especially if anyone wanted to keep going with this...

I may also join a group myself to keep me motivated through to March... I did that this year and that was really helpful to me...

In summary - Im undecided but open to suggesstion...

We did have a pretty active group, up until recently....

An option might be to co-mentor with someone else. I know a few people did this: Mila and Sal, Beth and Yanti..... You'd just need to figure out who to co-mentor with.

I dunno Dee, having you around as head cheerleader and chief taser officer was like having a co-leader.

Cat - I think I've told you this before but I, for one, had an amazing experience in your group and learned alot so my thanks to you and the whole group for everything.  Without this group, I am pretty sure that I would have quit at some point because of some of my hangups about not knowing things.  It's something that I've got to work on now that I know it is such a hangup for me but you all definitely helped me stick with things!

A cheerleader with a taser. Cool. Instead of pom poms, I have cattle prods.

I agree - this was a really good mentor group. The running advice alone was incredibly helpful. Who'd have thought I'd actually start "not hating" wogging?

P.S. Shawn, this one's for you!

So... the new boy and I are going away in 5 weeks for 3 days to some beach location (he hasnt told me where yet)

However... at 180-ish pounds im hardly wanting to be seen in a swimsuit...

Now I havent gained any weight at all but I need to get it sliding in the right direction... no Im not going to do anything stupid between now and then but Im thinking even loosing a little will make me feel heaps better and maybe I can keep losing some through to Christmas and beyond...

Finally kick this thing once and for all perhaps!

So... Im asking for YOUR advice and tips since i know a lot of us have focused on weight loss I think some new ideas and insights would be great!

So.. anyone got any ideas?

Care to do it together?  Oh you bunch of pervs, that's not what I meant.  I meant that I have a wedding in 4 weeks and I've love to lose a few before it so we should do whatever she decides together.  Sheesh!

Anyway, I finally reactivated my weightwatchers online account after talking about it for months.  It is the only thing I have ever done in the past that has helped me lose weight consistently.

Regardless of what happens, enjoy the trip!

Always happy for some back up... havent decided the approach I want to take yet.... Ive done WW before and it works well but Ive never been able to work out how to make it work for training...

When I was in University though it was fantastic... its how I learnt about healthy eating and portion sizes and stuff which Id never even THOUGHT about before... the only exercise I was doing at the time was walking to and from school which was a good 1.5 hours or so walking per day so that with the controlled diet saw me loose weight really well!

Anyone else wanna play along? Im planning on kicking off properly from next Tuesday... gives me a couple of days to plan how Im going to approach this and I need to get through the catered training course Im on Monday before I get really harsh on myself!

That gives me just over 4 weeks to try and loose a bit of weight...

I'm in!  I'm completely stuck at 170 and have been all year.  I'd like to be 150 by the beginning of the year, but I know that's not likely, so I'll settle for 160 on Jan. 1st.  I'm hoping the marathon training for March will help.  Right now, my knees are KILLING me, so I'm not running wogging much.

Edit: I have spelling and grammatical issues today!

Woo hoo! Great... Well Im kicking off with 30 days starting on Tuesday and Im going to need lots of *gentle* reminders to keep me on track so the more the merrier

Once I work out what Im doing I will post it up here for any feedback and comments... please feel free to do the same thing yourself.

I was measured this week so Im going to be using waist/hip measurements and weight on the scales in combination to see how I do at the end of this... as well as just dress size/how things are fitting.

My goal is to go hard for 30 days.... then continue to be good but back off a bit as I will first be on holiday for a few days and then be facing the round of social events/christmas parties!
