Have you worked out since you've been there? Exercise during the day is the best way to overcome jet lag. That and pizza... No it's not just insomnia, it is stress and the fact that I never sleep well in hotel rooms. Sadly I have not gotten a workout in all week and you are right it probably would have helped. I am here packing up my step-mother's things to go to good will and cleaning out the closet and such was borderline hoarders. I mean how many purses does one woman need? I have a 12x12x16 box filled with nothing but purses and many of the clothes I boxed up still had the tags on them. Let's just say it was a real mess and I have been having trouble breathing all week. Yesterday I stopped to see my father on my way to the airport and when I got there he had ODed on his pain meds or sleep meds or some combination of the two. The woman from Visiting angles and I were able to rouse him, change his bedding, clean him up and change his sressing before he went back out. At one point I was unable to rouse him even to pain stimuli and his breathing was erratic so I called the paramedics. At first they couldn't rouse him either but as they were working on himhe came to and refused treatment. There was nothing they or I could do so they finished upand left. Within 10 minutes of their departure he was out again and I spent the rest of the day periodically trying to rouse him, with little sucess, and make sure he was still breathing. We finally got him awake and at least somewhat coherent and I left him with his evening companiion to come back to the hotel and try to get something to eat and get some sleep. I am on my way to the airport now but I really don't feel good about it, Any way sorry to unload on you guys but thank you for listening. Oh and as I am here by myself pizza is not on the menu. Oh man, what a day. I'm so sorry for you having to deal with all this. And on no sleep... It sounds like it wasn't on purpose. Is that right? I really feel for you. You have my thoughts and prayers. I'll be around today to keep you company on wifi. |
