Dave is really excited about it and is getting close to the 60 consecutive push-ups point. Between a little encouragement of his part and my competitive self not wanting to be outdone...I am all set to start tomorrow. Theoretically I will be able to do 100 push-ups, one right after the other, when the program is completed. ...oh, I forgot... five other people in the group are going to join me.

As for the pushups... ummm yeah... they are cool and hard... good luck with that too! Thats more than I can do in a row... I managed 3 I think last time I tried on my toes... I have more luck on a Barbell though.... weird since you but some weight on each end and put it on the floor... then you have to stabilise it as the weights are round meaning the bar moves... Kind of fun in a really wrong kind of way...

I roll up a blanket use it for a bit of cushioning. It isn't a bad idea to use weights. I have some 5lb hand weights in my parents garage. They might work as a sort of hand grip.mchally - 2008-12-22 3:12 PM kaqphin - 2008-12-21 8:05 PM I hadn't tried doing pushups in quite a while and was fairly certain I would max at about 5. Trixie is tiny! She is a darling though. I met her while she was in SoCal--we had a dinner for her and to celebrate the people who'd done CA 70.3 the past weekend. She let me chew on that amazing calf of hers |
