kaqphin - 2008-11-05 8:05 PM Actually anytime I touch dark spirits its time for me to be put in a cab and sent home and tucked into bed...  I only go near them when Ive already had WAY too much to drink!

That's funny.

And so true...  I used to work with guys that were in dark spirits and I would stick to my own drink but when it got to the point I couldnt be bothered deciding anymore I would just say Ill have whatever you guys are having...

Bad bad bad sign.... sore sore sore head....  sick sick sick girl

I feel the same way about clear alcohol.

then I completely understand...

heh! I missed this one last night

I actually saw America in concert (yes that's how old I am )

The only thing I know about the band America is that they did the soundtrack for my favourite childhood animated movie "The Last Unicorn". LOL how random is that? I am an inventory of useless facts

Hi Cat,

How are you doing?

Not too bad - just about to leave you for an hour though... its time for lunch with the group of girls interested in triathlon... should be interesting...

Sounds like lots of fun.

It really way... 13 peopls all genuinely interested from the looks of it!

I'm sure you can get them hooked - how did it go?

kaqphin - 2008-11-02 10:14 PM Anyone know what being in charge of keeping 13 women motivated for a traithlon would involve?

ummmm, men?

JK

tell us about the meeting Cat!

Well it was super casual - we sat outside in the sunshine and i just talked about basic training and how long things would take... what you need etc.

We still have on relay team I need to fill and Ive shot off an email to the organiser trying to wangle a group discount.

But I really just talked about it being fun, walking being ok and not to worry about the super competitive  people.

Was amazed how many people want to do group things - the hard bit is going to be keeping people motivated but apart from that.. we are good!

Just answered my question ! Sounds like it went really well. I hope they keep at it and become hooked! (like me LOL). WTG!!!

Cat, I'm sleeping in my new compression tights for recovery, I'll have to let you know if they help at all, I know you're exploring compression!

How did you go with the compression? I find it REALLY helps!

TeddieMao - 2008-11-03 3:04 PM Sorry don't want to troll through 30 pages of replies but how do i put the box with all the challenge teammates and their logs on it into my log?  Does that make sense?

Im not very good at it but I usually hit the quote button to reply and then just copy the table out of there and post it in my log.. sometimes it does funny things to it though...

So there might be a better way?

Thats what I do too. It shows up as HTML jibberish intially but after a while the table shows up. Sometimes what helps is posting it in goals, then going back to the logs page, then going back into goals and then it fixes itself. Clear as mud?

1stTimeTri - 2008-11-02 11:29 PM 32 pages.  Nearest "competitor" - 6 pages.  Bwa hahahahahahahahahahaha.

Those other teams are so boring

maybe they don't know they are supposed to post?

Well, we are light years ahead of anybody, really, in challenges, post-padding, and just having a great time.  I was rude.  I deserve a spanking.  Yes.  I should be spanked and be told to play nice with others.

Where's Mila when you need her??? LOL

tlnewman30 - 2008-11-06 1:47 PM Clear alcohol kicks my butt everytime.  Dark alcohol I can stomach for awhile.

Really? Vodka is teh ONLY form of alcohol where Im not a glass and a half girl...

That's a lot of people, but for some reason, I can drink more bicardi 151 than any clear alcohol.  Johnny Walker and I have been known to have very long conversations.  Jack Daniels is right up there in that group as well.

I'm also a dark alcohol drinker. Bourbon, usually Maker's Mark. Yum. I drink it on the rocks mostly and if I'm feeling cocktaily I'll have a Manhattan.

It helps tremendously, I'm a big believer. The tights are new so I've just tried them out for the marathon and they controlled the swelling nicely. I gained 6 pounds of fluid from the race and I'm down 3 so far. I'm sleeping in them a few more nights and wearing the socks whenever I can as well. My legs barely hurt today.

So I met a BTer for a drink, drcherrybomb21, Michele. She lives about 20 blocks away and we've been trying to meet up for awhile. We had a good time. It's funny how you can meet up with someone from BT and feel like you're instantly friends because we already have so much in common. Don't you just love BT?
