I am sharing a conversation that I have been having with Beth. You may find it humorous.

In my blog I mentioned that I had my hair cut today.

Yaaay! I *heart* getting my hair cut! Hmmmmmm, speaking of that, I need to figure out where I'm going to get my next cut.............

YIKES! that must have been quite the BBQ

Yes it was. My mom turned on the gas a full minute before she asked me to light it(the auto igniter stopped working) . I had just finished my first tri and was more or less brain dead. I walked up with a little butane lighter and 'whoosh' there was a wall of fire. I had brought the guys I did the tri with over for the BBQ and they thought it was hilarious when I walked into the kitchen with black singed fuzz all over my face, right hand and arm, eyelash and eyebrow stubble and about 2 inches less hair length in the front. And I stunk of burnt hair. I am just grateful that I didn't have any hairspray on.

I must admit that I locked myself in the bathroom and sobbed. I had just spent $170 on my hair(it was a Bday treat and more than twice as much as I had ever spent previously) and was physically, mentally, and emotionally drained from my first tri.

I can now laugh about it-it is just hair after all. Unfortunately it currently is not satiny-soft to the touch.

This is the first time I have had it cut since prior to the BBQ incident in June. It was a little bit damaged.

Oh my!  I would have cried too!  But that is pretty funny (well, since it didn't happen to me )
