Run Lots.... Im guessing thats from the same place as Ride lots

Yeah, and I am adding that chapter along with swim lots, to the new edition.  I figure if Blake can get in big workouts than I should beable to compare.  Plus nobody cares at work if I skip out for a few hours to train.  Gotta love the Military.

lol... I'm not sure man, I wouldn't consider any of my workouts "big." You're a much faster runner than I am. I tend to get around pretty slowly.

haha wish I had that luxury at work!!!

Yeah Im working on ride lots at the moment.... step 2 will be swim some and step 3 walk (and maybe try running to see if the injuries hold up)

Maybe, but you put more time in than I do.  For now anyways.

I'm a little obsessive. Eventually I'd like to get up to 15-20 hours of training per week. That will likely take another year or two though.

Yeah, have definitely had my fair share of those, just this year alone. Nothing too debilitating yet though. (Knock on wood)

Or as Laura would say, "The Dreadmill."  I hate those things too.  I only use them if the weather outside isn't friendly.  Which in Colorado, that might be a lot during the winter.

x2! Hate them! I say, grab some tights, a stocking cap and some gloves and hit the road even in the winter. Bleh @ being indoors, especially in gorgeous CO!

If I start getting between 7 and 10 hours/week I think I can hold steady with that and be happy for awhile.

I think next year Im going to have to invest in some decent warm gear that I can strip off easily...

Compared to parts of the US it definatley doesnt get that cold here... but you need something til you warm up...

That is the plan.  Which is why I already scheduled a Half marathon for Jan.  That way I have a reason to keep the mileage up.  I think I might see if I can find a full Marathon for Feb/March, just to keep things going.  But first I need to make it through the Denver Marathon.

Running gets a bad rap, but I actually really like it. It's very relaxing for me.

The marathon should be awesome though, Travis. You have to be totally psyched about it.

October Run Challenge.  I might need to reduce my miles, since the Marathon is in the middle of the month, but I am game.

It goes both ways.  Sometimes I am stoked, and other days I have to make myself go and get the miles.  Mostly I just want to do better than I did last year for the Marine Corps Marathon.  Thus far I am better trained, but I am dealing with altitude I didn't have last year, plus my left IT band has been acting funny in my left hip lately.  I have had to really increase my stretching, and hold back on my longer runs more than I wanted to.
