Hey Magda,

How is Aussie land this time of night/day?

Hi! Its 1.30pm here on Thursday - I'm sitting at work finally working my way through ALL the posts. I'm on page 34 now! I am determined to read every single one!!!

Luckily its a bit quiet at work today. I don't want to say that too loud incase a disaster walks through the door LOL

chartierm22 - 2008-11-06 12:53 PM Did you get your house painted?

The big front room is done. We call it a lounge/living room. I think you guys call it a den. Also two bedrooms and all the doors are done. We have our bedroom, another spare room and the main living area/dining/kitchen/laundry (they're all joined) left to do! We want to get it done before Christmas! Heres hoping

Cat, I'm sleeping in my new compression tights for recovery, I'll have to let you know if they help at all, I know you're exploring compression!

How did you go with the compression? I find it REALLY helps!

Which ones do you have Magda? i LOVE my 2Xu race suit so Im thinking of going that way but it is a bit pricey...

I have 2 pairs of Skins long leg compression tights. I bought one pair on special for I think $120 or something like that, the other pair was a birthday present I've heard some people say the 2XUs are better. I'm pretty happy with the Skins

tlnewman30 - 2008-11-06 1:47 PM Clear alcohol kicks my butt everytime.  Dark alcohol I can stomach for awhile.

Really? Vodka is teh ONLY form of alcohol where Im not a glass and a half girl...

That's a lot of people, but for some reason, I can drink more bicardi 151 than any clear alcohol.  Johnny Walker and I have been known to have very long conversations.  Jack Daniels is right up there in that group as well.

I'm also a dark alcohol drinker. Bourbon, usually Maker's Mark. Yum. I drink it on the rocks mostly and if I'm feeling cocktaily I'll have a Manhattan.

LOL when I was visiting Manhattan earlier this year I wanted to ask for a Manhattan but I was too embarrased incase I would get laughed at for being a stupid Aussie tourist LOL! Whats actually in one of those BTW?

LazyMarathoner - 2008-11-06 3:27 PM So I met a BTer for a drink, drcherrybomb21, Michele. She lives about 20 blocks away and we've been trying to meet up for awhile. We had a good time. It's funny how you can meet up with someone from BT and feel like you're instantly friends because we already have so much in common. Don't you just love BT?

I do! I do!!!

Then again Ive only ever met one BTer but Im sure that will change at some point!

How did you go with the compression? I find it REALLY helps!

It helps tremendously, I'm a big believer. The tights are new so I've just tried them out for the marathon and they controlled the swelling nicely. I gained 6 pounds of fluid from the race and I'm down 3 so far. I'm sleeping in them a few more nights and wearing the socks whenever I can as well. My legs barely hurt today.

Yay! Success! What brand are you using?

Edited because I've just got to the post where you say you use 2XU LOL

It's bourbon, sweet vermouth and a dash of bitters. Yum yum yum! Not touristy at all, it's kind of an old school classy cocktail. And it packs a punch.

My life's endless quest is going to bed at a decent hour. I have had some success recently, I've managed to do 9.30pm most nights. What I really need to aim for is 9pm. Its difficult when I get home at 7.30pm and need to spend quality time with hubby so he doesn't feel neglected. I mean that in an entirely clean way, BTW!!!

Hi, Dimply-poop-poop.  Any Alaskans crying now that Sarah's not moving out to the White House?

A little hint on expanding your post count - post padding with multi-posts.  It's fun!

I haven't seen any - she announced she was "coming back to Alaska to take care of business" so who knows what that means. Most people here seem excited that she will be back in the state tonight..
