Loved that video! I was laughing my arse off. My favorite part may have been the robot dance at the end.

Thanks for making another awesome movie!

No freaking way!!!  That's awesome.  I get it, only a glimmer of your old M3, but at least mommas happy.  If momma aint happy, nobody's happy right?!?!  Plus you benefit too.  See your wife won't benefit from your new tri bike purchase, but then again it's only a fraction of the cost of a convertible so thats okay!  You'll have to keep us posted on your bike selection methodology...

Okay I need some advice!!!!  So today had a distance PR of 5 miles today.  Felt great, HR stayed below 170, decent for me (max HR of 196+).  The minute I stopped and began a cool down walk, my right foot was killing me.  I've had problems in the past with planter facetious but it has typically been manageable.  The first few steps out of bed in the morning can be pretty painful, but thats about the extent of the foot pain.  So about a minute into the walk I could barely walk!!!  Ran 5 miles, zero problems, I finish and walk...and nearly fall over in pain!!!!  UPDATE:  Great news, after sitting down for 15 minutes, hoped up for some water.  I can barely WALK!!!!!  What the heck!!!  Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?!?!?!

Have you tried one of those wooden beaded foot massagers?  Sounds lame but it sits on the floor, and you basically roll your foot back and forth to loosen the tough areas and sore spots.  Might be an easy and inexpensive relief??

Brad - ICE IT!! I've had issues with my feet for the last year plus. Ice and a tennis ball as a massage agent work GREAT!  It didn't solve my underlying issue but it does make it feel better.

That sucks, but dude - 10% increase per week is recommended (shhh....we've talked about this).  You've been running 2 miles at a time normally and jump to 5.....hmmmm now you have no room to give me $hit!!!!  You should have learned from my mistakes.....oh yeah...I just realized you have to learn them on your own....hence my condition!!!  Ice and elevation is the ticket....You can goto the doctor with me this week...maybe we can get a 2 for 1 deal!!!

Been there, done that.

Treatment: put a golf ball in the freezer. Take it out a couple times/day and roll the arch of your foot on it. You can also use a bottle or can to roll your foot over.

Prevention: get to a podiatrist! Or, at least a really good running store for a gait analysis. I'm almost positive you're running in the wrong shoes, or without the support you need. I had bad PF when I first started running; the answer for me was custom orthotics (I'm an overpronator); had them over 20 years now, and never had PF again.

This one can be a b!thch, so take good care of it and don't let it sideline you!

See, you guys don't need me... you can whip each other!  Sounds like some good advice Brad... I had PF in both feet years ago, one worse than the other, back before I was an "elite athlete".  I think I laughed when the doc asked if I was a runner!  (Oh, I was a swimmer though).  I also got custom orthotics that I wore for years, still have 'em, and it took awhile, but it went away.  I bought a pair of running shoes last year that were too soft and cushy, ran once in them and felt the beginnings of PF, turned them into my casual shoes, went back to the running store for another gait analysis and haven't had a problem since.  I like the frozen golf ball idea, you DO have some golf balls lying around right?  You could freeze a few extras to throw in your G + T's!

Frozen golf balls, G&T, orthotics, and new shoes.  Check.

Weird, foot seems fine today?  Strange....maybe it is the shoe?

Okay, I'm a little late to the video, but Hilde that was freaking hilarous!!  We do fight over whose students are the lamest - haha!!  I think I'm actually the oldest of our group though .... I better watch out, I might get whipped!  (Don't I wish I could do that to some of my students in my fifth period .....)

My school is taking donations from the students for the wildfire victims... in case you haven't heard, TX has been having HORRIBLE wildfires... an area about 45 minutes to an hour from here has lost over 1000 homes!  I just heard a student on the announcements say that they are taking donations of, "diapers, toilets, and Gatorade"... Made me laugh out loud!!  (He meant to say toiletries, must not be a sight word in 5th grade!)

Long day for me today... skipped a morning workout and slept in till 6:00 a.m.!!  School all day, then a 2 hour class from 4:30-6:30, then race over to the start of a group ride with Tammy T.  She mentioned they are changing their route to include a MONSTER hill, known as Nolanville hill.  FUN!  I feel like such a dork, I'm wearing my bike clothes UNDER my school clothes to save time later... tri shorts, sports bra and a tank....
