aspeelma - 2009-10-29 4:55 PM I'm already over 100% but I ran 4.1 miles tonight in my new shoes. I had Adidas Bounce and my new ones are New Balance 1224's. My PT's recommended stability shoes, my pain clinic doctor told me to get something with cushioning. Fortunately the NB's are stability+ cushioning.

I lucked out, too. One of my PT's is a triathlete, my pain clinic doc runs and bikes.

Very cool that your doc knows what he's talking about.  Hope you enjoy the new shoes!

A.) depends what you call a good story
B.) Depends where you left off

Well, let's see

and

B: I way back on page 64.  Plenty o material to go through.

GHOULIE QUESTION:

if you were invited to a COME DRESSED AS YOUR FAVORITE DRINK costume party, what would you dress up as?

I would be boring and come as a beer.

If we're talking hard alcohol, I have a predisposition to Mudslides.  Mmmm, yum!  Not sure it would be a great costume though.

White Russian. Although it's not necessarily my favorite of all time, I could have a lot of fun making it a Big Lebowski theme.

oooooh.  you need to share the recipe with me ok?

i thought i wouldnt make it w/out bread and cheese too, but you know, its been OK.

ive made two meals and two snack PALEO (see i pick and choose)

breakfast and lunch

morning snack and afternoon snack.

then tonight i did evening snack PALEO.

dinner would be IMPOSSIBLE.

i already make like three different things - something for me, something for 2 sons and DH, and something for my son who have all sorts of food aversions....

stacieb

I will definatly share the recipe...Once my husband is done using it...he probably would not like it if I pulled it out from under his nose!

I could probably do the Paleo thing the way that you are...but agree I would have a hard time doing dinner.

i cant even imagine what it would be like following the diet when you go out to eat or at a party

OI ME>

i mean you can eat salad, but you cant use dressings of any sort.

you can use olive oil and lemon juice, from what ive read, and that's about it.

i guess if you went to a resturant where they had olive oil on the table, you could get lemons.

but still.....

like the party that we went to over the weekend, there was chili and kielbasa, hot dogs, buffalo chicken dip, et al.

someone brought a salad, but they put the dressing on before they served it.

i could've packed food, i did that when i was losing weight, but only when it was family.

these were aquaintences and would have been perceived as being 'rude' im sure if i had.

besides.

i love an occassional bowl of chili and a S'more now and again.

you know.

stacieb

That's what cheat meals (or days or for).  As long as you're getting right 85-90% of the time its all good   And you're not completely restricting yourself, which is far less stressful.  And since we're athletes and training a lot, you could conceivably get away with more.
