I just got back from my first ride in 1 week and first exercise since Saturday morning.  Very slow and easy (and cold) bike ride!  Felt good and the legs remembered what to do

I ended up going with what I had previously owned...a coolpix. It is the middle of the order...there are a few cheaper coolpix and one that was much more and did about the same as mine does. I am very happy with it. It is very trimline so, fits nicely in pockets....and its red! I HEART RED!

as for your bike ride! CONGRATS! glad your legs cooperated! this coming from someone that has withdrawals from her bikes....take it slow, Bill. Spin things out and no mushing gears....dont reinjure yourself!

well since you missed that dinner...you can swing by for tonights ~ leg of lamb, spinach, augrautin potatoes and ONE margarita! I am behaving! unless you come by...then I will have more!!!!!

When my sister and her family lived in CA, my nephew knew that I had started going triathlons. He called me one day and said he heard people talking about Escape from Alcatraz and he wanted me to come do it. Um... thanks big guy! Unfortunatly I was unable to fit it into my schedule when they were there.

They do a lottery every year now.  You basically have to fill out an application for the lottery, which includes writing down recent races and finishing times.  I'm not sure if this actually is to weed out beginners or weak swimmers or not.  Then they hold a drawing and select a random number of people from those that submitted an application.  I believe they hold a second drawing (from those applicants that weren't picked the first time around) after registration closes for the first wave to give out the rest of the empty slots.

congrats on squeaking in Neal! I know many racers who have been trying for years! So, where you staying and how long you gonna be here? and where we meeting after for a celebratory drink or six!!??

wgraves7582 - 2010-01-28 5:31 AM So Ghoulies I have been thinking about my first sports doctor appointment and his diagnosis of arthritis.

I have a HSA medical plan and know I will be getting a bill from him for the balance and I am thinking of sending him the bill back with a letter explaining that I don't feel obligated to pay for his services because his diagnosis was rushed and not even close to what the problem was.

Basically explain to him that in these economic times that he wasted my time and I have since had to pay $100 in co-pays to get a proper diagnosis he was capable of obtaining.

Anyone ever done anything like that to a doctor?

It is customer service after all and if he had bad service or a bad product would he not expect better.

dont get me going on doctors and how I DISLIKE a handful that I have seen in all the surgeries and appts for my past 25+ years of being a cancer patient. Some I think are amazing and others I think do not deserve to be called a doctor!!!

You may try making a call to the office manager and talk to her. Tell her how disastified you are and that you ended up seeing another doctor who actually diagnosed you correctly. See if she can do something. If that doesnt work...tell her how much she sux (under your breath, of course) and then pay the bill!
