Have fun y'all! You are halfway right - I will be in Galveston, just not rocking it, I'll be trying not to get blown away by the winds

You will ROCK that course Erin!

x2 on that Erin!  You got it.  This is just a tune up for you in prep for IMTX.  It's just like another training day for you, but with better hydration and nutrition support.Smile  Have fun!!

WELCOME TO PEAK WEEKS KIDS...

We made it this far.  The next 3 weeks are going to be INSANE.  Today started of with a less than confidence building 3 hour run. 14.7 miles.  At first I was pretty upset about it but then realized that if I can maintain a 12.20 pace for the marathon I would be over the moon ecstatic!

I think the thing that hurt me is that I ran the first 5 miles with a friend who is slower than me.  Ran at her pace and was conversational the whole time.  I should know better but she is going through a lot of personal stuff and needed to talk.  I think running that long at a slower pace killed me for the remainder of the run.  I did not give up though.  Stuck to my 4:1 and tried to get into a better place mentally.

20-mile run today between 1:30 and 4:30 here in Austin.  Anyone who isn't out training in this weather already is going to be in for a long day come the 21st.

One more 4 week block and then it's taper time!

I had the same a few weeks ago, careful, it may be a sign of overtraining. Better to err on the side of less than too much...

5:19:37... hope to have the race report done at some point today. It was a LONG drive home last night after the race. I think the ride home hurt more than the race did! LOL

One rest day today and then its back to IMTX training tomorrow!

Great job out there in those conditions! I had a rough day (slowest half yet by far!) but found my happy place on the run where I could have gone all day. Didn't even feel my legs until mile 11 so I'm more confident about running off the bike at TX. It won't be fast by any stretch but that's ok. Not even sore today but I'm going to take a rest day then get back on the bike tomorrow.

3.17.11 Bike Course Roll Call:

Anyone else riding the course Sunday?

Hey Drew I will be out there again this Sunday.  This will be my 4rth run at it.  Did it this past Sunday, and by far it was the heaviest wind yet!  Ended up riding 103 miles, the last 8 miles or so were around Woodlands parkway.

Planning on another 100 - 115 for this Sunday.

will6899 - 2011-03-31 8:21 PM There is a few of us riding 100 on Sunday

Hey Will, are you riding this Sunday again?  I think Erin is going to rock Galveston this weekend.  I was thinking about it, but decided to do another century/run brick like last weekend.  I need more distance on the bike.

II do plan on riding this Sunday and will have a few others also.. they are doing 80 and I will do 100 again. We are starting at Walmart\starbucks parking nlot @ 7:00-7:15

Hey Will, I decided at the Richards store to push the whole length.  I didn't have your phone number so I couldn't text you.   Man how about those winds on the way back!  Did you end up riding 80 with a run brick?

I was wondering if you would be back at it this weekend.  Sounds like you got a strong ride in last week! I might not have time for 115, but I can at least make it to Richardson before we have to split.

Well, 115 does sound tempting...

Maybe I should ask in the main forums, but does anyone have any good swim workouts for 3500+ yards? Most of mine top out at 2500-3000 and I get bored easily in the water. I'd like to hit 4000 at least once or twice this month but probably won't do so without an organized sets to keep me going.
