5K race for me today, which brings me super close to my goal.  I think I'm 3/10ths off.  I'll get that on Monday.  Have a great rest of the weekend!

Illness and injury for me I am afraid. I might make it to 25 miles by the end of the month if I am allowed to adjust my mileage goal. I have a nasty cold that is knocking me out and an achilles that is beginning to swell in protest. I am afraid it is only 4.5 miles for me this week.

Since the air was still smokey, I finished up my miles on the elliptical.  Did 5 miles, bringing my total to 31.09 for the month, so I'm FINISHED!

I plan to get out once or twice more before my trip to Greece where I'll be doing a 5k in downtown Athens. ;-)  But work is crazy, so that may not happen.

Congrats everyone on kicking some butt this month!

I had wanted to finish up the 100 mile goal by todays run but getting to the gym to get on a treadmill has proven tougher then just stepping out the front door.

I did get in 19.07 miles this week bring my total to 90.13 so with 3 days to go, I should be able to still hit my goal.

Congrats to all that have finished and keep a flame lit for those of us that have not.

Great week Creeps!

If you haven't been over to the results thread, we've moved up to MOP (doesn't include this week's results).

8 of us (Mike, Jennifer, Heather, Taylor, Max, Patti, Sally, and Keith) have hit 100%.  Pattie and Laura are Oh-so-close at 99 and 98%.  Ty and Susan are hanging around 67 and 64% of their original goals with injuries and sickness limiting activity.

I'll post this with Kat tomorrow, with a final team update on Thursday.

Dear Team Captain McFuzz(y),

Is there an opt out clause in this challenge due to injury?  Just walked/jogged across a busy road to go get General Tao's Chicken for lunch (YUMMY) and that right leg hurt.

Or is there a clause that says there is a 2:1 ratio for converting trainer ride time to applicable run time?

Ty

Hello puppy,

We have lost a few challenge participants due to injury but you do have options with an injury (i dont want you seriously doing damage due to something that cant be planned for)

The options are: walking or the elliptical, resign from the challenge or reduce your goal - just let me know what you want to do and that its due to injury and all is good

Take care, I hope that leg feels better!

Cat

Hey Cat,

The leg is not cooperating.  Even tender on a fast walk.  So given the options you listed, I would like to revise my goal from 420 to 140 minutes.  So with the 280 minutes I've logged so far that puts my at 200% of the revised goal.

Or just drop my goal to 280 minutes and list me at 100% complete.  Or just remove me from this challenge due to injury.  (no time to get to a gym and a treadmill).

Ty

Hi Ty,

How about we take you at 100% since its so close to the end of the challenge?

Removing you would have the same effect on the team but this way you get to complete the challenge?

Tomorrow's a recovery day so tonights 6.47 on the treadmill finishes off the month for me.

11.72 miles for the week (Mon-Wed)
101.85 miles for the month so 100% of the 100mile goal.

Way to go everyone!

Awesome job by everyone...it was really cool keeping track of you all.  I hope it got everyone to do just that little bit more than you would have otherwise.  It sure did with Patti and me.  We were focused on getting our miles in for the team!  Congrats to you all for an effort well done!

Huge thanks to EVERYONE for taking part in the challenge and to congratulations everyone for reaching their goals.

As i was told of the injuries in advance your team is at 100% and will not have to sacrifice your avatars for the month... I have never seen a challenge where so many people have reached their goals... phenomenal!

I will be posting the final results as soon as all of the teams have checked in!

Take Care

Cat
