Well done Mike. I haven't been giving out the inspires or encouragement I should have this challenge. I've been watching the Tour live & joining in the discussions there. Good to see you back on the correct bike. Good luck in your race tomorrow. |

Expert 769 Murfreesboro, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread I just got stage 6 out of the way. It was a short stage, only 6 miles. I'm halfway finished with my stages (7 more to go), but only 1/3 the way finished with my distance. Hopefully I can get a couple of longer rides in over the weekend. I think we are half way through the challenge and none of us have reached 50% of our goal yet. We all need to crank it up a notch in order to win this challenge. We can do it!! |

My plan this month was to really up my distance. Last month I rode 100 miles. I commited to 250 for this challenge. It's a huge jump because this means I will have to cover about 300 miles this month. Don't worry. I won't let our team down. |

So are we saying that the calculations for Week 2 haven't got the Stage % included? Or am I just being thick here. Give it too me straight, I can handle it |

The formula I am using is this ((Stages complete/stage committed) + (Completed time or distance/Goal ))/2 Does that help? |

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread I have enough trouble riding down here near sea level. I hope you guys enjoy all that altitude stuff. I like the air nice and thick down here. I have to work all day today, Saturday, so that pushed my ride to tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to go PR for distance again. We have everyone in this challenge right where we want them. We are towards the back and they think we are going not going to be a problem. Lets storm back over the last half of the challenge and kick some a$$. I will send everyone a shiny gold star if we win. |

Must have been on my wifes account and didn't realize it. The breathing isn't to bad here at 5,447 feet now, but to bike up any real climbs it is all 7,000+ feet above sea level and more likely 10,000+. I did find a book that maps all the biking routes for good climbs on road bikes in the area so I think I will be starting that in the next few weeks. |

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread One more stage in the books. I have 7 of my 10 stages done and about 170 of my 300 miles. Don't worry though I have my longest ride to date scheduled for tomorrow so I am going to try to grind out as many miles as I can. I am leaving town tomorrow night for a busy week of business. I am bringing my bike so I can complete this challenge but I want to get as many miles out of the way so I don't have to worry about it. Lets finish strong and represent team Quickstep well. Now I am off to a late night swim. |

Expert 769 Murfreesboro, Tennessee | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread I have 7 stages to go in 8 days. I'm still wondering why I commited to 13 stages. I realized I calculated to the end of the month, not the 27th. I also have a tri scheduled for this coming weekend. I will find a way to get the rides in (maybe 2 stages tomorrow). I am a little concerned about the 150 miles (again, calculated to the end of the month) since this is a taper week. Hopefully I will be able to get some good miles in tomorrow and make it a bit easier for the rest of the week. Good news is I got another stage out of the way today. |

After the 15 mile ride this morning, I went for a 26 mile ride this afternoon. I took it very easy, but got it done. I have a race these weekend so I don't want to push it too hard this week, but easy rides I can do all day. Stage 8 down. This put me at 55% of my goal. I still have to push it, but I am feeling more confident about reaching the goal. If you factor in my race this coming Saturday, I have 4 stages and 90 miles to go.
