Knocked out another stage yesterday. Great to have my bike back. Looks like I am going to whip this challenge after all. Not riding again until Saturday because of a running race tomorrow but I hope to stack on the miles and get ahead.

Good luck to all.

Well done Mike. I haven't been giving out the inspires or encouragement I should have this challenge. I've been watching the Tour live & joining in the discussions there. Good to see you back on the correct bike. Good luck in your race tomorrow.

I just got stage 6 out of the way. It was a short stage, only 6 miles. I'm halfway finished with my stages (7 more to go), but only 1/3 the way finished with my distance. Hopefully I can get a couple of longer rides in over the weekend.

I think we are half way through the challenge and none of us have reached 50% of our goal yet. We all need to crank it up a notch in order to win this challenge. We can do it!!

J.T. I think there is a problem with the week one figures. I can't work out where the % figure is coming from. Week 2 cumulative is OK from what I can see though.

25 miles per ride left for you. No problem, surely.

I think the percentages are figuring # of stages completed as well as the time/distance completed. When I accounted for that it figured out right for me.

Considering my longest ride (up til this past Tuesday) was 25 miles, it's a bigger chore than you might think. My plan this month was to really up my distance. Last month I rode 100 miles. I commited to 250 for this challenge. It's a huge jump because this means I will have to cover about 300 miles this month.

Don't worry. I won't let our team down.

Thanks Mike, I was too tired yesterday to try to work the figures out. Got it now, for Week one %'s anyway. So are we saying that the calculations for Week 2 haven't got the Stage % included? Or am I just being thick here. Give it too me straight, I can handle it

This one's for esc (Emily). She's too young to know it. Unfortunately I was 9 in 1967.

Do yuo want to ask the girl setting up the calculations???

The formula I am using is this ((Stages complete/stage committed) + (Completed time or distance/Goal ))/2

Does that help?

Two more stages today.  Unfortunately they were both on the stupid exercise bike, but hey do what you have to do.  One was only 15min and the other was 32min.  A little closer anyways.

Working up to it. I was at the top of one today for my job. The top was 14,000+ feet about see level. Biking it would be hard.

This picture from tomorrow's route puts your height into perspective. Lack of oxygen for you or what!

Have to go register & pick up my timing chip for tomorrows challenge ride. I feel like $h1t today. Stomach bug & cramps, also cricked my neck yesterday. All the recent training & this happens. Don't fancy riding for 7 hours + at the moment.

WELCOME to the Legbreaker challenge sportive ride, which will take you through some of the most scenic and secretive Staffordshire Moorlands lanes. The routes are designed to be tough with little respite but spectacular views, please ensure you have suitable gearing (34 x 26 is recommended) and fitness to attempt the rides.

130 km (81m) Legbreaker Challenge with 3050m of climbing, both passing through England's highest village, Flash (1518ft)

I have enough trouble riding down here near sea level. I hope you guys enjoy all that altitude stuff. I like the air nice and thick down here. I have to work all day today, Saturday, so that pushed my ride to tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to go PR for distance again.

We have everyone in this challenge right where we want them. We are towards the back and they think we are going not going to be a problem. Lets storm back over the last half of the challenge and kick some a$$. I will send everyone a shiny gold star if we win.

Must have been on my wifes account and didn't realize it.  The breathing isn't to bad here at 5,447 feet now, but to bike up any real climbs it is all 7,000+ feet above sea level and more likely 10,000+.  I did find a book that maps all the biking routes for good climbs on road bikes in the area so I think I will be starting that in the next few weeks.

Let's go Quickstep. It's time to make our move to the front of the pack.

One more stage in the books. I have 7 of my 10 stages done and about 170 of my 300 miles. Don't worry though I have my longest ride to date scheduled for tomorrow so I am going to try to grind out as many miles as I can. I am leaving town tomorrow night for a busy week of business. I am bringing my bike so I can complete this challenge but I want to get as many miles out of the way so I don't have to worry about it.

Lets finish strong and represent team Quickstep well.

Now I am off to a late night swim.

I have 7 stages to go in 8 days. I'm still wondering why I commited to 13 stages. I realized I calculated to the end of the month, not the 27th. I also have a tri scheduled for this coming weekend. I will find a way to get the rides in (maybe 2 stages tomorrow). I am a little concerned about the 150 miles (again, calculated to the end of the month) since this is a taper week. Hopefully I will be able to get some good miles in tomorrow and make it a bit easier for the rest of the week.

Good news is I got another stage out of the way today.

Congrats on the PR!!! Way to go!!!

I just set a PR for most miles riden in a day. After the 15 mile ride this morning, I went for a 26 mile ride this afternoon. I took it very easy, but got it done. I have a race these weekend so I don't want to push it too hard this week, but easy rides I can do all day.

Stage 8 down. This put me at 55% of my goal. I still have to push it, but I am feeling more confident about reaching the goal. If you factor in my race this coming Saturday, I have 4 stages and 90 miles to go.

Stage 10 done.  7.2 miles in 26.5 minutes (morning commute plus some).  I will get another stage tonight commuting home.  I figure I will commute this entire week in order to finish up.  Plus I am doing a duathlon on the last day of the challenge.  I hope everbody else is still accomplishing there goals.
