Expert 1117 Shalimar, FL | Subject: RE: Nads - End of Summer Challenge I got my run in yesterday -- well, actually I was with a friend who doesn't run much so it was more of a run/walk. We had to hide from one downpour, but most of the way it was just drizzle. Now I'm hoping to get a long run in, but another line of storms is heading this way. I'm going to wait for a little bit and see how bad it really is. A little bit of rain is ok, but that's not what they've been getting in Atlanta. I'm ready to head back home -- we've been complaining about all of the rain there too, but at least at the beach we get a cloudburst then it clears up for awhile. Here it is just dreary, and then the sky opens up. Ok, enough complaining! We saw the Braves beat the Phillies last night, and hope to see the Falcons beat Carolina this afternoon. At least it's been a good sports weekend (my Hokies pulled it out at the last minute too!). Have a great Sunday everyone! |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: Nads - End of Summer Challenge Morning Nads! Another beautiful day in Jersey. A little chilly this morning - 39 when I headed out the door - but perfect running weather. Got in a short swim and another 4 1/2 mile "wog." Boy my cardio has deteriorated. I think I had to walk more than run to stay in Z3. Hard to be patient, but I do see the biggest gains when I train Z3 so got to stick with it. Soccer later this afternoon. I will probably hang in the goal (which I am nooo good at, but the team we're playing today doesn't have much in the way of forwards) just to keep the knee safe. |

Veteran 369 Fairbanks | Subject: RE: Nads - End of Summer Challenge Hey Nads! So sorry I dropped off the map . I've been doing ok with training, just not... errrr. well, logging workouts or updating the spreadsheet. But I have kept track on my calendar, so I'm off to update now. This would be SOOO much less work if I'd just do it consistently!! I'll check back in shortly with how I'm coming along... |

I haven't done that for awhile. Ouch! 0.5 mile intervals -- ouch is right! But intervals are our friend, right? I consider them a necessary evil |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: Nads - End of Summer Challenge PM'd Todd and have adjusted my run goal for the month. Now it is going to be the swim goal that is the challenge...can't adjust that and pass the red-face test. Am heading to San Fran in the morning. No pool at the hotel so will get my runs and stretching in this week. |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: Nads - End of Summer Challenge Ok, this has NOTHING to do with our challenge but my old cat is driving me NUTS!!! He is addicted to Whiska's Temptations.....I swear it's like cat crack. I can't give him enough. He is an 18 year old siamese and raising enough he11 to wake the dead. If you've never heard a Siamese cat tantrum, it's a bit like a baby with colic - only louder. Even the Bose headphones don't block it. Kind of glad I'm heading out of town tomorrow. |

Did get a short run in after landing and before the first meeting of the afternoon. Anyone else gone to work still sweating from a run even though you took a shower afterwards? |

Just another reason fro me not to wake up in the morning to run I do a lot of bike commuting though and I only seem to break a sweat once I enter the building. |
