Perhaps a spin class every now and then. I do hate missing a day of training. I try to double up certain workouts but that wipes me out the next day. I may just have to settle with shorter make-up workouts when one is missed. Maybe just do drills. Just started agility training with the Shih tzu. He is in an intermediate level class. He was a bit shy for the first half of class. Once he feels better about training I'm sure I will get a bit of a workout sprinting with him over the agility course. I think a short work out is better than no work out I'm not surprised that doubling up wipes you out! I don't think thats recommended. I think just keep working at it and fitting in exercise where and when you can.
