Hmmm... it appears I have been signed up for this challenge.  I should probably read up on it to see what it is.  Should I be concerned that the word "run" appears in the thread title?

That will teach me to stop talking smack in Dee's inspires!

roni_runnw - 2009-09-28 3:07 PM Hi Teamies! Glad to be one of the crypt keepers, and thanks Nicole for being team captain. I've set a ridiculous goal of 175 miles this month, but I really need to hit it since I have a 50k trail run coming up December 5th.

Go Crypt Keepers!

This is not a team of cripples...it is a team of crazies!

Good luck with the 50 Roni!
Dear Sparco, You ain't seen nothing yet. I just got an inspires from a pal of yours. It says, "I actually was throwing my name in for the Oct. challenge last night but then didn't press the actual "post" button. I believe I said I wanted in so I could be on Sal's team and boss him around like in the old days . " 'Nuff said. I think she needs no further introduction. She's now on your team.

I suppose I should feel a little frightened that I'm being stalked.  But the word 'exhilarating' is all that seems to come to mind...

I live for adventure.

You know you love my stalkerish ways.  That and driving me around Minnesota.

bluwatersoul - 2009-09-26 7:27 PM so part of the evil scary torture is early surprise starts, huh? Ok, I think I get it! I have a love hate relationship with running...I hate it, and  - well I haven't determined the love part yet.  But it is a necessary evil that I must improve. SOOOOOOoooooooooo, I will make my goal 50 miles. Enough of a challenge that I can't slack too much but doable if I behave.

Let the wild rumpus begin!

Alrighty then, since it's possible that I have yet to offend not met some of you, I suppose I will introduce myself.

As I mentioned in my previous post, my name is Mila and I like inflicting gut wrenching pain on grown men like Sal and subsequently collecting a paycheck for the fine contributions I make.  I use the proceeds from this to add to my collection of whips, tasers, cattle prods and other devices of torture used for challenge team members who start to slack off .

I reside under my tiara in Hotlanta and enjoy all kinds of princessy things (frog kissing, poison apple eating, glass slipper shopping, etc.).  When not ruling my kingdom, I have an amazing job in the fitness industry that, in part, involves overseeing endurance programming in the Atlanta market.  Do what you love, love what you do!

I got into triathlon to prove a point with regard to a certain incurable and unpredictable medical condition with which I deal that makes training a wee bit more challenging than it might otherwise be.  It is teh suxxor but you will learn quickly that I don't ever let it define me and I keep on trudging along... which is actually how we can define the running I will be doing for this challenge.  I like "trudge"... it has a lovely ring to it.

I'll look at my schedule and figure out a goal.
