ironannekidd - 2010-04-01 7:19 AM I'm just off the phone from the interview Ghoulies!

I think it went ok.

I thought it was traveling 2 weeks a month, not thrilled about that, but they told me it was 1 week a month or less. THAT I could do.

I'm hopeful, but I'm still going to apply for the other 4 openings they have.

Glad you got off to a good start Ann! If they're telling you about the required travel in detail, that's gotta be a good sign. Good luck!

P.S. Where would you be traveling?

Military bases all over the world!

Some of the perks

-I am 5 classes away from finishing my degree and they would pay for that AND for me to get my Master's
-more PTO than I have now
-more paid holidays than I have now
-get an hour a day to workout AND get paid for it
-everyone has a laptop and they encourage teleworking
-with the laptop and teleworking if the weather is inclimate I can work from home instead of either a) driving in bad weather or b) having to use PTO to stay home
-in a 2 week period work 8 9 hour days 1 8 hour day have 80 hours in and a day off. A 3 day weekend every 2 weeks!
-get to see the world and I don't have to pay for it
-they know I have events scheduled and said it's no problem working around them, they would never ask me to go on a trip and miss an event

I knew 2 of the 3 people I interviewed with, and I think I was less nervous on the phone than I would have been in person. I have several other people who work there saying good things about me so I REALLY hope this works out!!!

OH ANN.

IM SERIOUSLY JEALOUS.

thats some perk list thats for sure.

Not much going on here. Short day today so I can get DW to her doctor. Then I'm gonna get in a run this afternoon. Need to figure out something to do with the kids as well since they're on Spring Break. Maybe I can April Fool them into thinking cleaning my car is fun!

Hey Bill! Not too bad. We got some rain last night so traffic was "fun" this morning. Apparently an EMT responding to an accident got clipped and closed down a whole highway. Nice driving guys...

Definitely let me know if you're ever out this way. I'm sure we could think of a way or two to kill some time!

By the way, cinnamon brown sugar poptarts are my favorite. If you have any left, send them my way. Oh, and you might want to send them by sled--it is STILL snowing here. *sigh*. But, we do really need the water, so I guess it's actually a good thing.
