possum - 2005-12-01 11:31 AM Everyone in the whole world but us is a big lame-o. The floridianans are whining about it being "cold." Ha.

Ohhhh.....poor Floridians are chilly?  How sad for them.  We got 5" of snow last night.  I just got back from shoveling 26 walk-ways and sidewalks.  (my friend owns a landscape business and he needed help).  I'm now on the way to the pool for my first 3500 yards for December.

You think the rest of the fair-weather teams could shovel snow for two hours then go swimming.  Not likely.

Go Blizzards!

GREAT Job Andy!  Keep it up!

I just got back from the pool and got my 3520 yards in.  Feeling good.  You know....this challenge thing is great.  It kept me motivated even though I was a bit tight from shovelling snow all day.  I feel great now.  Gonna blow my goal out of the water....no pun intended.

Today is my day guys! It's colder than cold today but I have my bag all packed and I'll warm up in the pool - that what hard work does it warms you up - thats for all the cold complainers!

Blizzards are #1 the race is only for #2

Renee when you read this I like the donkey avatar - it really doesn't matter to us as we WON'T be using it!

Team members - what I am lookinf for from you is a Sat night / Sunday morning post of your week's total. If I can tally it up once a week that will save me alot of time. This next month at work will be nuts as everybody wants thier equipment they buy from us on thier 2005 budget. Just part of the game.

Go Blizzards!

Some of us smarter Midwesterners were able to figure out that if we relocated our Midwestern Work Ethic to Florida we wouldn't have to waste two hours a day shoveling snow and have more time to work out year 'round.  Outside. In the fresh air and sunshine.

Give up now you Blizzard folk.  You're going down.

Ah, but the MWE, like everything else, needs to be constantly trained or it'll be lost.  Those  hot and humid days down there without any shovelling or ice scraping can't be good for the old MWE.

The beauty of a Midwest Work Ethic, even for those who have left their roots behind, is that it is transferable. You might leave the Midwest, but you won't leave behind your work ethic. But it can wear off if you don't surround yourself with quality people. So be careful with whom you swim.

For the rest of you - the only thing going down is the Blizzards in the pool to crank out thier laps. Give it up!

Yea, right. Moving to Florida just changes your definition of "too hot" (>78) and "too cold" (<75).
And of course if the temperature is OK, the
1) The sun is too bright
2) The pool/beach is too crowded
3) I'm too busy

You're kidding us right?

Now go wake Renee up from her afternoon nap and go get in the pool.  We want to beat you, but not too badly.

She's so cute when she's feisty, isn't she? I like her spirit though. Too bad she's not on a real team.
