I ran to the pool today - after a night where it was so hot that H2B and I both woke up dripping with sweat at 2:30 - about an hour after the air conditioner turned off. O_O It's so HUMID at the moment. The pool heater was switched off today - Not that anyone minded. Today's swim was the most rewarding swim I've had since I started the program. ^_^ |

Master 2629 brummie land | Subject: RE: Sinister Snowmen another 1600m for the snowmen today. this was dedicated to all snow people as it was a crappy swim. shoulder has been sore so i did only back and breast with lots of kick sets - BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then the lifeguard tells me the pool; is shutting because his hours are over and the replacement hasn't shown in. then once i am in the shower with shampoo on my hair i get told a replacement has shown in. that's no good. so then when i'm leaving i tell the receptionist/deputy manager that i want a free swim as didn't get my set finished.....go snowperson saph. one free swim tomorrow

I may try to get in a run later, if I do not eat too much junk at the theme park.  I will be down for another 2000 tomorrow. Way to be assertive and get that free swim. Like the lifeguard could not hang around a few extra minutes. |

Despite snow and lots of pain in my knee/ITB, I got in a 2000 yard swim this morning to complete my Dec challenge! There were originally only 2 of us in the lane and there was also an aqua class on so there were only 3 lanes. Someone else joined so we started in circles (as you do) and I had to swim fast. I honestly never knew I had it in me. I basically HAD to keep up with these people...man they were fast. Ouch. |
