OK, so I made some tea with honey, thinking it would help my throat...

And then I got on BT....

And now the tea has been steeping for 2 hours. It's also cold.

But I'm gonna drink it anyway.

(I wonder if the caffeine kick will keep me up all night. If it does, well, you can pretty much guess that I'll be online and BTing all night! LOL)

Or I could just throw it in the microwave, and heat it up.

Hi Dee - umm looks like Im officially not longer in remission... gee I love have a chronic illness, Im hoping its just temporary because Im a sulky, cranky girl today!

Aw, Cat.... That $ucks. Were you at the doctor? Are they going to have to put you back on steroid meds again?

Well the specialist is away unti lthe end of the month but Ive already started some meds I keep in the house (not the nasty pred) and if that gets control in about 48 hours or so I should be able to stay off the steroids...

In fact its not bad timing as Im swimming Friday, Sunday and Monday I havent missed a swim yet!

So... given tomorrow is Friday... the meds should have made a difference by then I hope

Hey did you notice? Im sounding more positive already!

Cat, here's hoping the meds help and you don't have to go on the heavy duty stuff.

hehe well there will be kicking and screaming in the docs office if it comes to that... those things have some awful side effects that really have to be experienced to be believed... but hey Ive kept myself out of trouble with the other meds in the past year so Im optimistic!

This is just a bad flare but I can deal with it Im sure... and Im kind of looking forward to jumping in the pool tomorrow too!

Hi everyone. My name is Dan - I'm 49 and live in Sendai, Japan. I'm happily married and although my wife has no interest in triathlons, she is at least tolerant of my current exercise obsessions. My goal is to significantly improve my level of fitness and do at least a Sprint Tri this year. My swimming needs lots of work and I figure January/February are a good time to focus on it. That is not to imply that running or cycling are strengths. While I have experience at running, my knees have been bothering me whenever I attempt to run so I'm sticking to walking and working on strengthening the muscles around my knees.

I will not likely start my swimming until Jan 7. It is great to see so much enthusiasm and so many posts in the fish bowl.

Ah the hazards of copying and pasting!

Sarah and ScotinSeattle showed up at the same time.

I put Sarah on Team A. And I put ScotinSeattle on THIS team.

The roster in the first post of this thread is correct. And the google spreadsheet is correct, too.

I haven't changed it - other than to remove the Nov challenge line, and the "Cat, did you swim yet?" line.

The fishnet one has been there since... um... since you lost your fishnets. LOL
