Hey-I just called Mike AKA triguynewbie on the telephone.

I wanted to let him know that his package would arrive tomorrow afternoon and that it would be best if it didn't spend a lot of time sitting in the sun.

It being nearly Christmas I wasn't sure if he would log on to BT. Families are busy this time of year-especially when there are little kids.

I've only called 'a guy I met online' once before and that was to arrange transportation to a tri. It just seems odd.  The internet has made the world a bit smaller.

I think its awesome!! Id quite happily call any of the Nibbs and not worry about it!

mchally - 2008-12-23 7:51 PM I think that there are just as many people over the age of 16 sledding as there are younger folk. I have seen plenty of adults with out kids hitting the hills of seattle. And there are skiers and snowshoers too!

I don't think I'll be doing much sledding out here in PA

we had the best sledding hill within walking distance of our house in Nebraska

Seattle is blessed with plenty of hills.  I have never not lived on a hill-always on the top, bottom or side....wait-My first apartment was on only a slight incline, but even with chains of I would struggle to reach most of my previous residences this week.  I probably would have to hoof it to reach two of my past homes.

Not worried, it is just a new experience.  Without the internet, there are so many people that I wouldn't know-including all the Nibbleteers.

I had a yummy bowl of Campbell's Chicken and Stars to warm me up when I got home.

Mmm. No nutritional value, but so heartwarming.

My doggie got the rest of the broth with her dinner ... warm meal for puppy, too, I can hear her slurping in the next room

yep, I met Sal last spring when DD and I were in town for a VB tourney, we went for a run - it was actually a turning point for me as far as running goes

I'm racing with Kristin in Jan - going to shack up with her, and we've never met IRL

I know a few BT'rs from Nebraska, including 2Goggs - and heck, I practically raised him - JK!   I'm not quite old enough to be his mother - LOL!

those are much better to have in the oven. A wool blanket in the oven didn't sound like a great idea...
