mchally - 2010-03-22 12:07 PM Paul...whenever I see your screen name I think of Peanut butter.  yum!

Had that name for a long time.  It was a substitute for the name I wanted that was already in use. I've found its not used on any other site (except yahoo) that I've been to so it kind of stuck.  If you see it somewhere else, its probably me. Don't even remember the name I wanted at the time.

Hi-ya Bill!

Howdy Melissa - how is the family doing?

dad is doing a bit better, but we can't really understand him anymore.  He still wants to be in control of things, which is totally understandable, but makes everything very very slow.   He had 3+ accidents in bed last night...my sister was continuously up until 5:45 am, I joined her at 5:20 am and finally got him back to bed at 8am.

My sister and her hubby are back up from Vancouver, as well as my aunt who came up from sacramento.  We also have the normal care givers and help in.  It is a small 3 bedroom house and this morning we had 10 people in the house as well as 2 large dogs, 1 medium dog and a cat at 10 am.  Since then one gal left and another caretaker came for my dad...still ten people but a rotation in care.

Yep. One of three programmers out west. The rest are in the data processing centers farther east.

I bet it really helps to have so many there to help, even though it makes sleeping arrangements tough.

I'm all alone.
There's no one here beside me.
My problems have all gone.
There's no one to deride me!
But ya gotta have friends!

hmmm, reminds me of a donkey that is feeling blue...

It was awfully lonely for a while this morning and I have been called an a$$ a time or two.

Hey there Paul!

Hey there Melissa! How's your morning? Hope all is going well.
pretty good, I am planning on a date with the foam roller once I have caught up here.  It will be followed by a run with the incorrigible dog...maybe several shifts with different dogs.

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-22 12:14 PM we are now back in the lead of post count challenge as well!

Yes but they aren't too far behind. I'd feel a lot better if we could build up a lead like we had last week.

So I was transplanting a bunch of shrubs yesterday and, as usual, I managed to have an accident.  I was moving one shrub to a hole I had dug right next to it and as soon as I got it out of it's current hole I tumbled back into the new hole.  Slick.  The new hole was near a tree and I had cut through several good sized roots...I landed on the stubs of a severed root.  It hurt terribly.  I now have a deep red and purple bruise located between my right hip and lower spine just above my right glute.  the whole area is super sore.

I am so talented in the incurring of odd injuries department.

I've never gone running with a dog before. I think it would be too distracting for me trying to keep track of him.
I have a neighbor that runs with a dog and hasn't done much running lately.  Either his knee or the dogs hip have been acting up so he hasn't been out much.

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-22 11:26 AM I am eating delicious oatmeal and granola right now - very tasty and hopefully fills me up until 4:30 for my late afternoon snack!
I am going to find the last of my energy bars in a few and polish them off.  They are kind of like a moist granola bar.

I don't really need to keep track of them since I keep them on a short leash, but it can take a bit of training to get a really good running buddy.  Some dogs take to it more readily than others though.

That it does.
I could go home to my place to sleep, but when I spend the night here I almost always get called on to help in the wee hours.  I couldn't assist from my house and it means my mom would be getting even less sleep that she does when I am here.

Ouch - that sounds like a swearing type incident!
More of a rolling on the ground and moaning incident...I must have landed just right to hurt that badly...I think that I might have gotten some sort of nerve, because the whole right side of my back felt terrible for hours.
