We did the outside lights today. Next weekend we will do the inside. We do colored lights on the tree and and our ornaments do not match. We try to pick up an ornament whenever we go on a trip so as we decorate, we think of the fun exciting places we've been. Definitely nothing designer! So, here's what my house looks like after today Thank you! I love to decorate for the holidays - I love the idea of having an oranment to remind you and your family of the places you have been! that is an awesome idea :-) We do that too and it's always fun to talk about the trips when we see the ornaments. My husband used to think I was crazy to be seeking ornaments in the middle of the summer. Now he loves it! My kids each have a small tree in their rooms that we decorate with, yes, some of the preschool ornaments as well as ornaments that they've been given. They love to have decorations in their rooms and it makes more room on the big tree for the aforementioned eleventy billion ornaments. that sounds really cool! for a while my kids decorated their rooms but then they got tired of doing it I guess - I never thought of doing a small tree in each room - that is a great idea! |

For food? yep - well for drinks too, although that sounds like it's a bit up in the air haha well not 100% sure but... Breakfast: Cocoa Pops, Fresh Fruit, Pikelets or Pancakes and maybe French Toast/Waffles or something like that plus fresh bread, butter, and chocolate (family tradition), maybe hashbrows, creamy yoghurt and champagne or fresh apple juice. Decided against doing the big cooked breakfast thing Dinner: Rolled Chicked or Turkey (with stuffing), Roast Potatoes or Potato salad, warm tomato salad, selection of other vegies. May also buy a ham and include the traditional aussie seafood in there... depends on the requests - I like Pork so year undecided still Dessert: Pavlova,Tiramasu Plus the usual small things like cherries, strawberries, ice cream, after dinner mints, fruit mince pies etc Snacks: Fudge, cookies, lollly cake, rocky road. short bread, ginger bread, coconut ice and whatever I get around to baking in the lead up (a lot will be given away as gifts so this will be left overs) I ill change my mind on this 100 times before christmas day!!! Yes, well, it will be interesting to see what happens this year since I suspect Exhibit C is going to protest and want a tree in his room, too. Other people are concerned about their dogs and cats knocking over the tree while I am concerned about Toddler Who Is Third Child knocking it over, dragging it through the house, eating the ornaments... Perhaps we shold stick with ONLY small trees and forget the big one this year .
