Laura Ingram for press secretary - I think that would be an excellent choice!!

Rudy Gulianni for Sec of State - I think AGw would be a better fit. SofS seems to be good stepping stone to POTUS so maybe that is his ambition.

I think Newt would be a good S of S....

Good opportunity to get some party unity here by naming a solid dream team cabinet.

I don't know about all that.......but I know in the early 70's "acid rain" was going to kill us all before the year 2000.  I know it was going to because I was taught that in school.  And I know it was true because scientists wrote the books.

Yes LB, because we passed regulations limiting the release of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere, and it has helped alleviate the problem.  Scientists wrote about the problem, the government regulated the offending chemicals, and the problem got better.  How in the he!! is that an argument that our carbon emissions aren't a problem?

Look, I can't have a debate/argument about these issues because I don't care or worry about it.  I like to have clean water, air, and a trash free environment like everyone else does.  But I know that in the history of this planet the human race will be nothing more than a speck on a grain of sand in time.  Consumption is what will lead to our demise, not what we do to pollute the planet.....it has shown that it can recover from all the stupid crap we do.  But the resources we need to survive are being depleted each day at record levels, as the population of humans increases to a point where the Earth will not have the resources left to sustain us.  I don't see any end to population growth......and I'm no scientist. It will happen in 100 years, 1000, years, or whenever......but it will surely happen.  One day human beings will not inhabit the Earth, and Earth will be fine.

In the history of the Earth you are as old as I am.  Nothing special is happening just because we happen to be here. We are not special.

I have to agree with your draconian assessment. I live in a pretty wealthy part of my state and I see sub division after subdivision being build with 4,000 + sqft homes, two story brick place with 12' ceilings.....thousand of these houses! The natural resources going in these house is huge. Timber, carpet, hardwood, electrical, HVAC, tile, plywood, lighting, etc, etc. All these resources had to be manufactured and shipped - often around the world. After the house is build, it has to be heated an cooled and maintained 24/7/365. All this to house 3 or 4 people.

And let me assure you, the people who clawed their way to the top are not simply going to give that up.

Algor and Leo Caprichino fly around in their private jets telling me I need to reduce my carbon footprint does more harm than good as people think, "don't p)iss on my back and tell me it's raining!"

OK, rant over. Back on my head.

Don't you see, all these protesters are just following our new president's lead! He told us four years ago the phony electoral college was rigged system and we need to revolt against it. But no one listened, so he went out and proved it. LOL

Did you by chance watch the 60 minutes interview last night?  He was asked about the electoral college statements in the past.  I did have to give it to him though he stayed consistent and said he still doesn't like it, even though he won under it.

He changed his mind (shocking) and now thinks the electoral college is genius. Guess Kellyanne finally got around to telling him he lost the popular vote?

I'm not whining, I'm not out protesting, I'm not signing petitions for electoral college voters to abstain or vote for Bernie. Trump won and it is what it is. But I still think he's a snake oil salesman who's spent the last year talking out of both sides of his mouth.

There were 2,648,921 republicans in CA who stayed home and did not vote because they knew all of CA's electoral votes were going to Hillary.

I keep hearing "If we elected POTUS via popular vote, HRC would be POTUS." Absolutely know way of knowing who'd of won or how the campaigns would have been run differently.

BTW, 78.4% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I agree completely. No way to know what would happen with different rules, but we do know that Trump won with the rules we have and so he get to be the next president. End of story.

I've personally hated the electoral college system since I learned about it back in 7th grade civics class. Doesn't mean it's rigged. But there is such an irony in 2012 Trump ranting that the EC is a "disgusting injustice" that steals elections away from the popular vote winner, and then him winning (legitimately) through the EC while losing the popular vote. He called for a march on Washington and now he's going to get it. You just can't make this stuff up. This entire election has been a hilarious, embarrassing chitshow.

One thing I do love about Trump is that he's not afraid to correct mistakes.  Too often our leaders think of political consequences before they act.

I have never liked Christie and feel he's as corrupt as they come.  He buddied up with Trump early on when he didn't have a lot of buddies so I understood why he kept him around, but I didn't like it.  Then, when I heard he was leading the transition team I really didn't like that, but figured Trump would keep him in check.

Then we started hearing about how all these lobbyists and washington insiders were being considered for positions and then very shortly thereafter Christie was removed from the transition team.  Then just yesterday we hear that Pence has removed all lobbyists from consideration.

That's my boy.  :-

http://uk.businessinsider.com/trump-transition-team-lobbyists-2016-11?r=US&IR=T

I know his detractors like to show this as being chaotic, but I see it as a leader who does the right thing no matter what it looks like in the media.

"Trump transition team announces five-year lobbying ban for appointees"

Drain the swamp!

This is really a lot bigger deal than people realize. It is human nature to 'look ahead to your next assignment'. So if you are in a job with 4 years certain and possible 4 year extension...and you have a mortgage and car payments and kids to put thru school......you start looking to what you can do after your term is up. Being a lobbyist is one of those vague jobs.....often offered as a quid pro quo for 'favors'.

I know, the poor guy needs a haircut.  When you start losing uneven patches you either have to shave it or cut it very short.
I guess if you insist on leaving it long then you have to attempt a comb over to not have the blatant empty patches.

So Trump and Romney to meet this weekend....presumably to discuss Romney taking a role in governing.

This is why I could never be a politician. I have too good a memory!

The meeting would go like this:

Romney: Sorry for trashing you during the election and not supporting your campaign

Trump (Rogillio): Fagetaboutit! Thought you might be interested in a position at the White House?

Romney: Absolutely, how can I server?

Trump (Rogillio): The WH 2nd gardener has resigned. I'd like for you to step in. In a few years maybe you can make 1st Gardener.

Seriously though.....not sure where he would fit.....maybe he could head up the Obamacare Remove and Replace. He seemed real proud of the MA plane he got passed.

That's what I keep thinking every time I see the headline that Trump is considering Cruz as his AG. The man questioned if your father helped assassinate JFK and made fun of your wife's appearance, and you're going to work with him? Wtf?
