RIding at night has finally caught up on me and I crashed my bike tonight. Nothing major thankfully but I did get some road rash on my upperthigh/booty.
oh no!
you're ok?
I think my leg is going to stick to the sheets tonight.
and when you get up it will be an open wound again, which will make your morning shower lots of fun.
When I have raw wounds I slather them with A&D ointment before showering.
Yeah slather it in Antiseptic cream, cover with some gauze and THEN go to sleep... it will keep it moist and stop the sticking... you can leave it uncovered to dry out tomorrow if you want...
Sorry you crashed dude. My last two crashes, I've landed on my left side and cracked my helmet. Of course, the 2nd I was probably hit by a car, did a header and was knocked out because I don't remember what happened.
I scream at people that are helmetless here "Your brain is worth MORE than $20 dude/dudette!" Idiots.
Oh, speaking of idiots, people are pushing kid strollers around Disneyland sand no kids - basically, they're using them as junk carriers because they're too lazy to carry their crap. Its amazing how lazy in general Americans are.
I had a car make a right turn with no blinker right in front of me. I had to lock it up and either hit my BIL who was riding with me or go down and I went down. Minor in the whole sceme of bike crashes but a bit painful none the less.
As much as I would like to linger, I am going to head to bed. I am hoping to manage eight hours of sleep tonight-and not be late for school in the morning.
Have a great night and a great Tuesday Nibblets. I'll see y'all later.
That reminds me-I use 'y'all' a lot, both in person and online. I am now sitting next to a gal from Texas-My 'y'all' is definitely inferior to the real thing.
We use that quite a bit here in Fl.
Do y'all have an accent down there?
Yeah but not quite as strong a southern accent as some of our neighboring states.
I have a question-do seattlites/washingtonians have a noticeable accent. And can people tell when they have an accent, or does everyone else sound funny to them.
I don't know that many people from the northwest so I couldn't tell ya.
yah-the question would be easier to answer if it was asked verbally.

Spokes - 2008-10-27 11:28 PM BTW, like my new avatar?
I do believe it is most excellent.
Its very interesting about how they changed the design for the DCA and Paris versions of the ride from what they put up originally in FL... the FL ride doesn't 'recycle' as quickly... the Cali and Paris versions can stay open while they do maint on a shaft.
I don't think I want to be riding when they are doing "maintenance" routine our not.
I was staying up for baseball and now that it is cancelled I think I am going to go to sleep as well. I have an early morning that will be here too soon.

I do-I almost said something but I-as usual-became sidetracked.
My meds have worn off so I stray easily.
My new ones are working great. I am SO much more focused and even. 1500 mg of Depakote daily. Apparently it works well for migraines too.
I don't know if Beth saw my comment that during the fireworks show Friday night, Tinkerbell not only came out more than once, she flew all OVER the place. Apparently in the 1970s, she'd just fly across once and that was it.
LOL!
Sorry, I missed the comment - so where were the fireworks?
