Well, yes I do. We live in the middle of nowhere. Other than going to a few neighbors houses my kids have never really trick or treated. We have friends who live in a large gated community and they invited us to bring the kids to go trick or treating. So my friend and husband are taking the kids and her husband and I are staying at their house and sitting by a bonfire in the driveway with our special blue (alcohol filled) cups and handing out candy. My daughter and I are baking up some special Halloween goodness to take along.

Anything good going on for you?


We are stick dwellers also so the neighbor kids and my wife head off in their van to hit about 5-6 relatives in the area.  Then we go to our neighbors (their parents) house for cider and donuts.

My kids have never trick or treated either because we have always lived in areas with no sidewalks or houses that close.


WOW both sound really fun!  I always lived where there was "true" Trick or Treating, but both of your alternatives sound like fun.

My kids are pretty excited. There are apparently a few houses that go all out. At one of them the guy who lives there was a theater major in college. There are people lined up the entire driveway. Some are real some are not, I'm told it can be hard to tell the difference. Some of them will walk beside you when you aren't looking. They're calling for a chance of rain, I hope it holds off until late night.
