Generally you have to be over 6' tall for me, I have another requirement as well but we won't go into that here. I made an exception for Mr. Depp, he's only 5'10". I have a life size Capt Jack Sparrow cutout in my bedroom. It's from a Pirates of the Caribbean party we had for my nephew 2ish years ago. Yes, it does freak my husband and son out. i love that. life sized Capt Jack. in your bedroom no less. ![]() i think Capt Jack is by far one of the MOST interesting characters brought to life on film. and i think Depp is a brilliant actor. what the man does to completely embody a character....absolutely stunning. stacieb |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() i *heart* my DH. and admittedly take him for granted. he is just soooo dependable. i know for absolute certain if it wasnt for his temperment being so flexible and accomodating, i would be able to do 3/4 of the stuff i do, training-wise. theres never an issue w him, when i have to go out for a long run, or a ride that takes 1/2 the day. THOUGH, i have to say, i do my best to schedule things in such a way that it has the LEAST AMOUNT OF IMPACT on my family life. when im here. im here. i set up my racing schedule so that my season is essentially 'over' by the time the kids are done w school for the summer, and then i schedule some fall races for when they go back. that way im not training long/hard in the summer months when i would have to go out a lot in the evenings, and be away from home. in fact i was shuffling some things around on my race schedule, so that we can go on a Century ride to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. we dont often get to ride together, cuz he's home while im out on my bike, or im home while he's out. we switch off like that. 100 miles is a lot of time to spend together riding. soooo looking forward to that time together. i love me my dependable guy, that's for damn sure. stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2009-11-18 1:04 PM |

Looks like more rest until then. That really sucks Neal. Just do what you can to avoid running until then. At least swimming and biking don't hurt, right? Swimming and biking feel great so at least I got that going for me. I'm a little concerned that the biking may be aggravating things even though it doesn't feel like. Hopefully the doc will answer that question. does it feel muscular or something in the soft tissue, NEAL or do you think it something structural, like your hips might be misaligned? can you tell? stacieb |

October 6 is our Anniversary. the ride is scheduled on the 9th. isnt that just perfect? whoop! stacieb |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Evening Ghoulies. Been pretty busy with work the last few days, so not much posting. After I got back from Orlando I learned that one of the faculty from the congress was hit by a car and killed while running early Monday morning. I didn't know him personally, but still find myself very sad by this. |

Take a bottle of water with you, splash some on the sweaty parts, dump on some perfume and go. No one will notice, really. I usually go with a package of baby wipes, and then the change of clothes and splash or perfume. But I have to admit that I have postponed my runs recently for the same reason. ![]() |
