Welcome back, "Missy the Marathoner"!

I got to the Y for my bike workout.  The training plan called for a 45 minute nice, easy spin with very low effort.  But riding one of those bikes at the Y for 45 minutes didn't sound very appealing, so I did a spin class and it kicked my butt.  I'll be ready for a nap around 3pm.

Let's finish the month strong, A-Team!  We're quadrupling their number of posts, but we're behind on the workouts.  So squeeze in whatever you can between now and Friday!  We've all done our share of "post padding" in past challenges... now let's do some "workout padding"!  Watch your TV shows on the trainer...  Do a 5-minute run so you can log the workout...  Jump in the pool and do 1 lap (OK... for Bill that's a 30 min workout).Wink

Wow I can't believe I am reading about Rain and someone glad to be at work -

Hope it clears up Tim!

The sad part is that he's sending it my way and by the time it reaches Utah, it'll be snow.  Yeah that's right the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday in Utah when its almost May is two days of snow. To think it was about 80 yesterday.  I'm blaming you Tim.

Tim - you better be careful - you don't want Arnold - I mean Paul mad - LOL

Paul - You up for HooDoo 500 support?  I might be entering - but I think the wife would shoot me - I need to put together a support crew first and then present it to her.

Wow, that's a lot of responsibility.  We would have to get a trailer just to hold enough tubes the way you go through them with all your flats.
At this point it doesn't look like I will have any time off work. I am using the last of this year's time off for a service vacation to Mexico in June. Not sure how I will make it through the end of the year without any more time off. We'll see how it goes.

Hahaha...  Same here.  We've had 80 degree weather, rain, 70 degree weather, then more rain.  It has been really crazy!

Cool what are you guys doing in Mexico?

And I Hear you on the tubes - LOL - great point I didn't think about!

Don't know all the details yet. The group has helped put cement floors in homes, build washing or bathroom facilities, provided basic medical training, stuff like that depending on what is needed and the skills of the group.  There are a lot of people with medical training (nurses, etc) in our group and there is a kid that is putting together hygiene kits for his Eagle Scout service project that is going so it will probably be medical related. We will also have a couple of days to play tourist too.

This morning started out pretty nice.  Part cloudy and warm. Now its completely overcast and the wind has really picked up. Down side of that is that my yard seems to be the place that all the garbage in the neighborhood blows to. It is still warm though. Tomorrow the storm will be in full force. Low of 29-32 F over the next few days with a high of 44. Saturday should get up to 49. And no, this isn't normal April weather for us.

Just got my run assignment for my part of the Wasatch Back Relay in June (3 days after returning from Mexico). They must have taken pity on me.  I have a pretty easy run. My first leg of the relay is 6.7 miles, second 3.0, third 3.3 and all pretty much flat. Last time I had 6.9 miles cresting the mountain and coming down the other side, 8.1 running up a canyon, and the last leg was 3.1 and finally level. Wasn't as ready for that one as I would have liked. I'm hoping for a good race this year (as long as I don't come back sick from Mexico).

Went to the gym for lunch and got in a swim and some strength training. Hoping to get a bike ride in after work and before my sons concert. Maybe a run in after the concert. I'm feeling pretty ambitious today. I should hit 100% on everything except my run goal. Hopefully I will be able to walk tomorrow.

I finished up my bike and swim goals today. Wahoo! I am not going to make it on the run goal. I'm so mad, because I've never not met any goal in a challenge before. So sorry, teammates.

Tomorrow I am off to Wyoming, I think. My dad is in the lower 48 from Alaska right now. I'm supposed to go visit him at my sister's place. I might not go if the weather is as bad as predicted.

Sneaking in after my ride home!  Time for a little snack and then off to bed for the night!!!!

You seem to be repeating yourself Bill. Was that for effect or a result of old age.

Went for a ride before the concert but just got back so I won't be going on a run. The wind is crazy. I could almost run (without the wind) at the pace I was able to ride into the wind. Coming back was a breeze. Pedaled as fast as I could and it still was pretty easy. I'm going to try to do the same tomorrow.  I've decided to focus on strength, swim, and bike (in that order) because it will have the greatest impact on the team stats.
