kcarroll - 2009-10-18 10:08 AM No running for me today, but I did reintroduce myself to the pool at my Y this morning.  Hello pool!  Sorry I haven't seen you in so long.  Anyhoo, got 2000 in and then quick trip to farmers market and grocery store.  Loaded up for the week.  Then I came home and made myself a yummy breakfast burrito.  It is cold, rainy and very windy here today.  I feel a nap coming on.

Did the pool remember you?  Was it angry that you hadn't come to see it for awhile or did it welcome you back with open arms?

It was so happy to see me that it gave me a lane all to myself.

Hello, Gouhlies. Do you think our plan to lure the other teams into a false sense of security is working?

Went to church today, then hubby opted out of working (yay!) and instead we headed up one of the nearby canyons with the ATV and a couple of good friends. Got some cute pictures of my kids playing with their puppy, and this beautiful little green-blue lake. The water was soooo pretty. I wonder what mineral was in the water that made it look like that. The bad news is that I didn't get my run in today. The good news is that because I didn't get my run in today, it puts my schedule for the week in a better place. It should ran/snow Tuesday, so a run M/W/F should be about right, weatherwise at least.

I'm headed to bed now, hope you all are having happy dreams of finish lines and lives well lived.

Nighty night, Gouhlies!

Sounds like a fun weekend!  I hope the revised plan works out for you!

kcarroll - 2009-10-19 5:35 AM Morning Ghoulies!  Got 5 miles in this morning.  It was perfect running weather.  Low 30s and a beautiful clear sky with lots of stars sparkling.  Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Great early morning run!

Morning Team.  Today is the day I get the approval to start running again hopefully.  I did a lot of short runs yesterday playing football with my son and his buddies and had no reaction so I am taking that as a good sign.

Morning Bill!  Hope you get that stamp of approval today.

MORNING GHOULIES.

full week on tap training wise, but then i start my pre-race taper on Saturday.  just a few more days of hard work....

i should be redeeming myself BIG TIME in the challenging standings/percentage this week.

3 runs on tap - 12 miler tomorrow, 5 miler on Thurs, 10 miler on Saturday.

i was surprised that we were on the bottom this week, but then again, these challenges are 'funny' that way....all comes down to when people finish their runs/post it to the spreadsheet.

i have every confidence that not only will be BACK on top this week, we WILL win the run challenge.

Long run was supposed to jump to 7 this week and mid weeks were supposed to be 4.5, but as I have more time to finish the training plan I am taking an extra week to make the full jump up to the higher mileage.  I don't think it will effect me hitting my goal at all.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I really dislike Mondays.  Not only do I have to be back at work, but we have a weekly meeting on Mondays that goes from 4-6.

Ugh!  Who does that on a Monday?

I suppose this would be a bad time to tell you I'm leaving at 3 today to make sure I can get a nice bike ride in.
